Description My second installment in a series of 285 pictures, rendered in various media, based on reference photos from Anatomy for the Artist. This one was a lot harder than my first, Invisible Corner, because a lot more anatomy is visible. I'm fairly pleased with how this turned out, though the face looks nothing like that of the model in the book. I'm sure there are some anatomical inaccuracies here, any crits are welcome. it really isn't bad, though I don't like your decision to make it darker, it seems to me like a vague cop out, trying to avoid showing some of your work.

I do still have a version of it with the original lighting, I just liked it better where he's more in the shadows.

Most beasts are optimistic and good intentioned... until they flip the fuck out.

His face is very similar to that in the book. Even if it's not exact, the work is really very good. I'm doing something similar w/ my new years resolution. Drawing a portrait a day for the whole year. I can't wait to see more from this series.

Thanks, glad you think so. A portrait a day is quite an undertaking! I had planned to do something like that, but I'm waaaaaaaaayyyy too lazy. Are you gonna post all the portraits you do? I'd love to see 'em.

I plan on posting as many as I can. It should be a fun challenge!
