Mike...the instant I saw this image I thought "Howard Pyle". The composition immediately struck me...and inspired a feeling of extreme lonliness! Then came the sense of the physical and emotional pain this poor creature is feeling. Very HUMAN! After that...my eyes wandered to collect all those details of the alien environment. Uber-effective image!
