Even as an alternate version of himself, Lucemon still looks adorable. Β Though, instead of a black toga, you could have gone with a different outfit since angels wear togas and demons wear...um...something else; unless this Lucemon supposed to look like a fallen angel who's still good.

Ah, now there's a peaceful ruler of a lava world. Even with his bat wings, black toga and power-bracelets/anklets,
he does not appear to be the threatening type of Lucemon, as sometimes seen under disguise. I am liking this change.

No, it was the Ten Ancient Rulers. They were the protectors of the Digital World in the distant past. Lucemon, leading an army of Angel Digimon, used to work for them. Together, they fought against the Demon Digimon, and at one point, slaughtered all of them to the point of extinction. But after a while, for some mysterious reason, the Ancient Rulers became corrupt. They began abusing their powers for their own self-interest and ruling their subjects with an iron fist. Lucemon rebelled against them and yada yada yada, Lucemon sacrificed himself to destroy the Ancient Rulers, all Digimons were freed from their tyrannical rule, and Lucemon became a mythical hero.

Since the world is a parallel one, the Lucemon here looks opposite to that other "pure" look.
It does make much sense, along with the Ancient Warrior Ten's bizzaro selves being evil overlords.
I personally would not mind to see a Digimon anime story OVA of this. Good stuff, here.
