Ok on saturday at work i got painting this little fairie. She then became a guy with funny feet and no wings but a crazy hairdo. I kept working on it (boy I was concentrating something rotten) until I was fully happy with the pose of him. After that i added in the shadows and highlights, added the tree (which was a nightmare to get sorta realistic) added some Ivy, lots of those (damned) leaves. Im quite happy with them yes. The background
yes I did a background! Was inspired by Fleet Forest, which is the one used in Gladiator, James Bond etc. Its about a 10min drive from where I live. Anways yeah that was fairly easy to do, just used different layers of opacity on them to get the distance effect.Now I have a query...
why cant i do this all the time!!!

This is fantastic, I love his huge ears. The only thing I would mention is that the earrings and tattoos are much more clearly defined than any of the rest of the picture, which looks a little odd. Other than that it's really cool.

i like the light and dark contrast, just enough of the faery is visible.. almost a sinister look about it. It must be nice to live so close to Fleet Forest.. i think someone such as myself could spend whole days there.

the leaves above him were quite simple. base colour, a highlight and then a shadow
