Mei encouraged me to meet Naruto in the garden. I arrived at the Uzumaki mansion once

again. What could Naruto possibly want to show me? I walked up to the garden archway of

flowers and poked my head under to see where he was. "It's so dark" I mumbled to myself. I

tip-toed inside and stood in front of a huge bush of roses. They were beautiful. A very

sweet and refreshing fragrance seemed to come off of them. "Hinata!" a voice whispered. I

turned my head and saw Naruto standing behind me. "Naruto! You scared me!" I teased. Naruto

smiled brightly. I blushed at his smile. Thank God it was so dark, if he could see how red

my face was... "What did you want to show me?" I asked. Naruto smiled and held out his

hand. I gladly took it in mine. He brought me deeper into the garden. "N-Naruto-kun?" I

whispered. We finally stopped. "Here it is, Hinata. A farewell gift." Naruto said. I looked

in the direction he was pointing at. My eyes widened. He made this for me? I squeezed

Naruto's hand. "It's beautiful.." I whispered to him. He smiled and brought me closer. The

farewell gift was a beautiful mixture of the rarest roses in the world, the lavender rose.

There were hundreds of the lavender roses formed into a statue of a big rose and its stem.

"Naruto-kun...it's beautiful. How did you? These are so rare!" I said in astonishment.

Naruto laughed. "I have my ways." He teased. The lavender roses shined in the moonlight. I

looked at Naruto with loving eyes. "Why lavender roses?" I asked curiously. I already knew

though. The lavender rose is one of the rarest in the world. It's often a sign of

enchantment and love at first sight. Many people who have been enraptured by feelings of

love and adoration have used lavender roses to express their romantic feelings and

intentions. The color also has an association with royalty. He smiled. "Well, they are

lavender just like your eyes. The rose symbolizes the care and concern you had for not just

me but everyone. You have impacted everyone's lives. This rose is a symbol of you that will

be cherished. It is why I made sure it stood in the center. It's also a symbol of a

goodbye, we will meet again." Naruto explained. I smiled with tears in my eyes. Naruto

smirked and wiped my tears. "Don't cry!" He chuckled. I laughed. "I have to tell you

something, Naruto." I said seriously. Naruto smiled. "What is it?" He asked. I gazed into

his eyes. I suddenly blushed, but refused to look away from him. "I'm...completely and

utterly... in love with you, Naruto." I said. Finally... I finally told him how I felt. I

gave him the warmest smile. Naruto, at first, looked relieved and so happy. He looked as if

he was going to cry, but quickly looked down, shook his head, and glared at me. He grabbed

my shoulders. "Hinata, is this a joke?" He asked angrily. What? What is he talking about?!

"No! Of course not!" I replied. Naruto continued to glare at me. "No, you can't be no. It's

a test or or something. I don't know. Dammnit. That son of a bitch." He mumbled. I grabbed

his hands that were resting on my shoulder. I slowly brought his palms into mine, and

intertwined our hands. I looked at him again. "I love you." I said. Naruto frowned and

removed his hands from mine. "I... You have to forget those feelings. I don't love you

Hinata. I'm sorry." Naruto answered. Tears were spilling from my eyes, but I managed to

smile. "It's okay. Really. I knew you could never return my feelings. But I just wanted to

tell you. I'm happy I finally said it. Thank you for allowing me to be with you for just a

while. Thank you." I said. Naruto looked at me with pity. I didn't want to see that face.

No. Stop. Don't look at me like that, dammnit. "And don't worry Naruto, I will forget these

feelings. I guess I was really selfish." I laughed sadly. Naruto took my hand. "You are the

most unselfish person I ever met, Hinata. Thank you, I'm happy that I met you. You changed

me for the better." Naruto said with a warm smile. I laughed with tears in my eyes. "You're

welcome!" Naruto slowly caressed my cheeks and kissed my forehead. "Farewell." He

whispered. That night I cried so much. It hurt. Every touch and every word. I have never

felt so much pain in my heart. But now that I heard him say it. I think I can finally let

go. I slowly drifted off to sleep, awaiting the morning of my departure. Little did Hinata

know, the next day would take turns ... for the better.
