The illegitimate son of Lord Discord and Grand Magician Trixie Lulamoon, their young draconequus son was raised away from the prying eyes of Equestria, hidden from the public after the following courtship that ensued between Princess Celestia and the Lord of Chaos. Jinx Cedric Lulamoon grew with a lust for power and fame, eager to prove himself worthy of the title Prince of Chaos.

Introducing a bad boy: meet Jinx!

Jinx was the product of a one-night stand between Trixie and Discord after the pair finally worked together to perform one of the greatest magic shows ever seen in Equestria. The night ended in quite the celebration, with perhaps one too many cups of wine between them both... Afterwards, the relationship between Discord and Trixie became awkward and strained, even more so when Trixie found out she was pregnant. At that point, Discord was just getting into a more serious relationship with Celestia, and Trixie had become a renowned magician- far too busy to take care of a child, and it would have been inappropriate to hand over the responsibility to Discord, who was already starting a new life with Tia. Before Jinx was born, it was decided between them both to have Trixie's mother raise and care for the child. Of course, Trixie and Discord would still play a role in his upbringing, but given their situations and status, they weren't always able to be present. Jinx grew up to be spiteful towards his parents, more so towards Discord, having felt abandoned by them both and feeling he deserved better. After he became a young adult, Jinx moved away from his Nana Lula (his grandmother) to a more secluded area of Equestria, Galloping Grotto, where he would ultimately seal his fate, along with a young unicorn mare... more info on that later!

Hoo boy, Jinx and his story is one of my favorite things to explore in Harmonyverse canon! Although I painted him pretty badly here, Jinxie isn't necessarily evil- poor guy's simply just fallen down the wrong path and has pretty bad solutions to his problems. He makes one bad choice after another, but will ultimately learn from his mistakes... eventually. I really just wanted to draw something a little malignant, hehe. Jinx and the Galloping Grotto arc is more of a side show in the grand scheme of things in Harmonyverse canon, but I enjoy working with it and him often enough, so I'm happy to finally be introducing him to you all! You'll be seeing more of ol' Jinxie-poo and learning more about the cast of the Galloping Grotto arc soon enough!
