With the sun rising high into the morning sky it signaled Zizzle's release from nightly shift watching Luna’s princesses. He always hated having to retire to his room, but the siren-hybrid knew he couldn't go on forever without a decent bit of rest and soothing water to relax his currently overworked body. He trudged on down the countless lengthy hall walls until he reached the doors to his room, closing his tired eyes he gently pushed them open and stepped inside only to instantly freeze as another ones’ presence caught his attention. "Who's there?" He ordered roughly snapping his glowing aqua eyes open to see who had intruded into his room.

"So assertive Scales," a mocking voice cooed from above him in the high beams causing the stallion to cringe in self-loathing.

How he despised that nickname, it didn't help his case that the Hell Raiser Prince himself had been the one to give it to him once he had discovered his true identity. "I wasn't expecting your company this morning your majesty," He tried his best not to hiss threw his teeth. "To what do I owe the pleasure...?"

“Well you know how I love a stallion in armor~” The draconequus prince was stretched out upon one of the beams, he purposely rolled over causing himself fall from the beam and plummet to the floor. Right as it seemed his body would make contact with the stone cold ground his lengthy body stopped in a curled formation around the older stallion like a python would to its own preying, his body miraculously was left hovering only a few inches from the stone floor.

“Besiiiiiiides, do I have to have a reason to see my favorite soldier?” His voice purred mischievously as he brought his front paws together, clinking his dagger like claws together.

Zizzle rolled his eyes, showing that he wasn’t all too impressed with the Prince’s stunt. “I know you well enough that you always bring a surprise to these visits of yours, so what. Is. It…?” He growled.

Heliacal’s face grew in amusement and it was starting to get on Zizzle’s nerves. “Since you’ve asked so politely, my reason for coming here was to inform you that the other royals, A.K.A my family and friends are coming to visit for their usual two weeks of the spring season.”

“Yes, I’m aware of this occurrence. Princess Luna informed me of it a few nights ago. I was given the day off in order to get some res-“

“SPENDID~ That’s exactly why I was here in the first place!” The prince interrupted. “You see with Eros and Locust around we’re not going to want to stay locked up in this “prison,” and in order to leave my father stated we needed a guard with us at all times, so who better than you right~?”

The look upon Zizzle’s face was one of pure disbelief, “Sir out of no disrespect today is my day off.”

“Now, now, now.” Heliacal continued on waving his finger in a calm scold. “Don’t think of it as a work day. Think of it as a Vacation while on a Vacation sort of day.”

“But sir-“

“No and’s, if’s, or but’s. I expect to see you within the hour they both arrive.” He spoke sternly, while his eyes narrowed dangerously at him.

Though he hated too, the stallion lowered his head in a bow, or rather in defeat mumbling, “As you wish your majesty. I will be the one to escort you and your friends to wherever you desire…” As he finished the stallion was taken by surprise as he was swept off his hooves into a bone-crushing-like-bear hug from the prince his constant squealing ringing in his ears.

“Ooooooohthankyousomuch Scales~!” He seemed to sing as he plopped the guard down on top of his bed, gave a quick snap with his fingers and poofed all his armor off before exiting to the door. “Oh, do make sure to get some rest in today, but Sweet Chaos you’re a lifesaver!” With that the prince disappeared.

Zizzle sat alone along his bed and released a reluctant sigh, finally allowing his body to crash into the blankets strung out on his bed. Might as well get some sleep before the long day ahead, and slowly exhaustion came over him and he fell to sleep.
