I really like the gray tones of this painting, I see it as an interesting depiction of the dreariness and stark detachment that one can find or can effect youin cities. Quite an evocative piece.

something I've noticed by driving in the rain a lot, is that the reflections in water from any light source will ALWAYS be completely vertical, no matter what way you're looking at it from. That's just the way reflections work. this is a great picture, but that's just one thing I noticed

I like how you got the mist and the haziness. But I wonder why you missed off the figure with the umbrella from the original photo. It seems to me that that was the key feature of the original and added a lot more interest to the picture.
Either way, this was impressive to do as a speed painting. I like your work.

I know the focuse of the photo was the girl, but i wanted it to be just the city. Its interesting that you pointed this out, and there is actually a very good reason for giving the focus to the buildings. There is a city in my country i love so much. I dont live in it, its about an hour and a half away from my home. Its a really big gray city with 2 milion people, and i have a special conection to it. Somehow, its a mixture of melanholeny and happyness, because, everytime i go there, am as happy as can be, and the city is so gray, its such a powerfull contrast!
