Description The character in this Photoshop rendering is based on the main character of Murnau's 1922 classic, "Nosferatu", played by Max Schreck. When I first started working on this, I envisioned the vampire as a rat! (no prizes for originality, there)

I only just managed to finish this just now, seeing as I experienced some difficulties in installing my copy of Photoshop CS2. I only just managed to sort it out a day or so ago. Adobe sure know how to make things difficult for us artists!

I tried to capture the atmosphere of the original movie, as well as getting a few ideas from Art Deco graphic design, and German Expressionism.

Bravo! I love all of the little touches. From the B&W format to the 'buck-tooth' fangs, even the double-breasted frock coat. Great job, Stuart!

Thanks! It was a real bugger finding some decent photo reference for Max Shcreck as nosferatu, but my efforts paid off in the end.

I know what you mean. Back when I was researching for my Nosferatu satire piece [link] all I could find was a little thumbnail image of the movie poster.

I tried clicking on your link, but your Nosferatu piece was nowhere to be found.

The image: [link] is called 'Treasured Memories I'. The Nosferatu association may be a little vague until you read the description.

The link worked this time. I've just had a look at that piece, and added a comment to it.

BTW, how do you create links to other pages?

Best,
D-

To make a link, go to the desired page, swipe and copy the address on your browser's address bar (like [link] ), then paste it in with your text. It will show up at the other end as: [link]
