Description
A friend has the Cold Steel Greatsword but had some problems transporting it to events due to the sharp edges and long length.I took it upon myself to make a fairly simple leather sheath to protect both the blade and the surroundings during transport.
Made with three layers of 5mm leather, no wood core.
Took better part of a week's worth of free time, mostly due to having to awl and stitch so many layers together.
Straps over the parrying hooks, that are covered by the top T.
Note, I am posing with my friend's sword myself, as he was unavailable.

It is indeed, which is why I made that sheath. Transporting it in a compact was a pain.

Not quite, but certainly longer than my boot or back seat.
Had to put it between the front seats leaning over the rear seat.
