Description Wow, this amazingly took me 12 days to complete, which is much faster than my previous best, the M98A3 Behemoth here, which took me a whopping 2 months:

I decided to make this because I've never seen a sci fi land battleship before and I asked myself: "Should I make one?"

Then the answer was: "Why not!"

But for months, I procrastinated, because I know it's not gonna be easy due to the amount of details needed. I mean hey... it's not a tank, it's a mobile battlestation! A really huge mobile base!

Anyway, when I started designing this, I didn't expect myself to progress so quickly, as ideas started pouring in as I drew lines and form planes. The following are some of the WIPs I have while designing this from scratch.

On the whole, making this was really fun. And by the way, this is the first time I actually uploaded this in real HD, I mean you can literally zoom in and see all the very little details!

Programs used:

Sketchup Pro 2015
Indigo Renderer
Photoshop CS6

Feel free to share this so others can also enjoy it!

Anyway, I hope you really like this!

i love behemoth death star super weapons that make 100 mega thermonuclear weapons look week even though in my story i have a 1,700 meter long land mother ship this is really nice and it looks multi verse scale war and take over and that's impressive i love your artwork and this one brings back the good old days of high school and middle school i fell like a teenager again because of artwork like this you should be worth billions of dollars and help with mega scale projects like this one this sends chills down my back and makes be not want to tick is monster off

The detail in the design is amazing, and I can't imagine how much thought goes into creating it. though, I do have to question the feasibility of a land ship being 1 kilometer in length. or even close to. out of shear weight, it feels more like it would be tearing up landscapes with it's treads, even if it's used for warfare, it will more than likely cause what ground it runs on to turn into mud or other less than ideal running terrain. Also, what about underground traps like oversized armor penetrating land mines? It's size would make it near to impossible to properly maneuver around such trapped obstacles. Unless it's only answer is to have groups of smaller scouting parties to clear out such obstacles before it proceeds.

I do how ever think that the design is phenomenal, though I do think that a Land ship of this size has it's drawbacks if expected to function as a mobile combat vehicle. Perhaps if it were an airship instead. But that's just my opinion on that.

Okay now that I have found my sunglasses I can finally look upon this wonder of creation without being completely blinded. First off just wow absolutely incredible.

I'll try to do a top to bottom impression commentary I hope you find this helpful and encouraging.

Love the conning tower structure/complex:
Narrow profile from the front which make a lot of sense if fire was coming from a target being approached. The structure is solid appears well armored and strikes a good balance between technologically advanced and battle hardened simplicity. I like the three vertical antennas which gives the impression of information, awareness and intelligence. Raising the vehicle well out of the "dumb tank/mindless destruction" category and more into the relm of intelligent precision, and calculated malevolence.

The "Flight" Deck:
The deck seems to have two prongs that narrow towards the front with what seems to be a hollowed area in front of the conning tower complex. The reason for this does not seem clearly apparent. Are the two prongs of the deck the two rails of some type of "Gauss" or rail type gun? Or is the apparent trench a place where some type of air assets are launched or recovered. It's a beautiful design and remains somewhat mysterious. It could be a flight desk, however the two three barreled turrets seems to rule out small air vehicles or drones safely flying in and out. Why are the decks pronged, what is the reason for the lack of mass or structure underneath? None of this is bad, it's all really beautiful. It seems to be the beginning of something great, but of the entire structure is seems to be the place with less development. The sides of the deck with the three relativity "smaller" turrets make sense and blend well with the conning tower complex structure and the hulled below. At the rear of the deck is a third intermediate sized turret that seems to match the two place on the front of the deck. The impression I first had was that these three turrets seemed unique compared to the rest. There are the four very large turret emplacements at top of each track structure, then there are the dozen of smaller (Main battle tank size) turrets place to support and protect the large turrets. But the three intermediate turrets place on the "Flight" deck structure do not seem to be large enough to out range the four weapon systems and the top of the tracks, nor do they seem usable for smaller targets like the dozen or so smaller (Main battle tank size) defensive weapon systems. They seem to fall into a category between the two but seem to have a limited ability to depress their weapons downward towards the ground where it would seem their type of targets would be. Perhaps they are some type of anti-air weapon systems, but if they are visually they seem built too heavy to have the agility of a anti-air system. It seems less clear where they fit into the overall scheme of a layered weapon systems.

The track systems:
Love the track systems! Just incredible. I like the smaller defensive turrets a long the tracks as these would seem to be an area that smaller threats would attempt to damage. Really like the large turret weapon systems at the peak of each track system. The barrels of these weapon systems gives the impression of precision and agility. If anything the barrels seem almost too thin to be protrude way out there all alone. May I suggest some type of supporting structure around the barrel to give the impression of strength and rigidity? (Something like a modern "Pre-Tensioned Barrel Shroud which increases accuracy in modern target barrels) Just and idea.

What to improve:
First off this is was the hardest part to write since this was already such a wonderful creation.

So here is what I would like to see:
More anti-air/missle:
The concept of this wonderful machine reminds me of the Bismark and Turpitz, both of which were harassed to their doom by small aircraft nipping at them. It would seem to me that vehicles of this size and magnitude would have a a difficult time warding off waves of small fast aircraft launching warheads, or large warheads hurled at them from long range like those of a TEL1A1 Tomahawk Transport.

Also in the future:
This great machine is a battle-station/command center. Perhaps a Battleship or Aircraft-Carrier or other variant would be a better answer for the defense of a Command Center since a commander would never want to risk the loss of his forces nerve center.

Love your art, hope to see more and thank you.

I may be a bit biased in this, because this kind of art is exactly what I browse this site for, but this work is incredible.

The amount of detail never wavers throughout the model, despite the impressive size and scale. I couldn't help but imagine a cross-section of this mobile city. The gun turrets are neat, and I found myself imagining uses for all the projections that weren't inherently obvious (the dual trapezoid top is a radar antenna, the treads are made of a titanium-tungsten alloy, etc). The nature of the reflection suggests this is a blueprint that Hexiron is presenting to the DoD for a new fleet of war vehicles.

I would suggest lightening it a bit, though, so we can make out more glorious detail between the treads and under the conning tower.

Hi. I'm a biggest fan of Sci-fi vehicles, especially that one you create. I totally love it!

Well, let me see. Its design is perfect, it has good measuring, and it has good shadowing.
The shadowing of it was amazing. It creates full reality. I like it
And also its reflection that it gave out was perfectly impressive. I like it too.
The design of it is pretty amazing. It creates full reality also for the future.

That remembers me of something futuristic. Thanks for creating it.

That is the best of all the best.
And one thing: Those two M98A3 Behemoth Superheavy Railgun Tanks did a trick.

You're very welcome!

Hehe yup! Since a man is too small to scale, I added those Behemoths instead xD

Amazing art! Just so you know, I am an aspiring writing hobbyist and I'm currently writing about an individual living in the 2010s who aspires to create a one-world utopian Terran empire under his rule after he is blessed with supreme matter manipulation abilities similar to Molecule Man where he utilizes it to create and synthesize nootropic drugs that would significantly enhance his intellect to that similar to Tony Stark's but this time, he has the ability of technopathy so he easily trumps Tony Stark's resources in no time where any matter he can converge into transistors and eventually, tech that would surpass the 21st century in just a few years! I seek your art work to enrich my imagination and write down detailed conceptions of some of the vehicles I would have for my utopia novel. I have important questions for you.

1. Do these concepts of yours posses nanotechnology construction and configurations similar to Tony Stark's Mark 50 suit in Infinity War or at least some basic molecular resemblance (like the one shown in Skyline 2010 after the alien ship has been hit by a nuke missile) especially when these vehicles need to undergo repairs and maintenance?

2.What is the practical application of such enormous vehicles such as the M192A6 Monith Terrestial Battlestation since these land vehicles may have trouble traversing the untamed lands of mountainous terrains, might get stuck in quicksands, sinkholes (since their mobility sources are mostly thread tracks) and tight urban centers even though I suspect their light year technology would nullify such primitive obstacles (I can only see them as being useful in traversing the vast expanses of Central Asian planes, the Sahara Desert and the American Great Plains without getting in the way of any civil developments)?

3.Can such advanced enormous land vehicles be convertible to an amphibious function and/or can fly into the air just like the Hellicarrier from The Avengers so they could have greater flexibility in functionality besides being stuck in the ground?

4. What are these vehicles power sources (e.g. something as advanced as fusion if not more advanced)?

5. Do these enormous vehicles have visual cloaking and stealth abilities so they couldn't be detected by modern radar systems, infrared, thermal, x-rays, etc since their large size and somewhat poor mobility makes them difficult to hide, take cover and would invite nuclear weapon strikes? If not, do they posses anti-nuke countermeasures when the nukes would target it in a swarm?

6. Can they engage modern enemies (21st century technology military vehicles) from at least hundreds of kilometers away before they are even detected?

Bonus: Do they have any anti-guerrilla warfare detection tools such as detecting an enormous landmine of a nuclear yield (including EMP mines that would threaten to disable and leave the station vulnerable) placed in the ground and/or detecting guerrilla enemies through some sort of technology similar to x-ray or gamma ray scanners through unexpected positions since this would be the greatest threat and success against high tech military operations by inferior insurgents?

Thank you! I really appreciate it!

Oh I see! I wish you all the best for your novel! Interesting concept of matter manipulation abilities indeed!

1. Yes

2. They are only useful in large open spaces like the ones you have mentioned. If they are stuck, they can be anchored to the base of the A-155 Atlantis Dreadnought ( fav.me/d9rz9y6) to be transported to another vast plain.

3. No

4. Chronium

5. No stealth and cloak, but undetectable on radar

6. Yes

Bonus: No

Once again, thank you for your interest in my vehicles and for asking!

OmniculeriusDreamer In reply to Duskie-06 [2019-07-13 09:29:36 +0000 UTC]

Very welcome! These technological marvels look highly plausible and applicable with the engineering and physics yet to be discovered!

I came to learn that just like people, these individual vehicles also need to depend on each other as a team instead of just one, enormous unit being a jack of all trades as that would not only be too complicated but also be a weakness in the sense that the enemy recognizes that as the entire empire and would exploit it! It is far more efficient to have all types of specialization for all individual units, indeed.

I wish you the best for all your future artwork and I hope you would craft some interesting, anti-guerrilla warfare units specialized in detecting illusive insurgents and landmines of any kind. Also, it would be a great idea to craft a concept of an omni-functional vehicle no bigger than a limousine van (in it's true form for the sake of an artwork) running purely on nanotechnology that can take any function, instantly construct shields, defensive weapons and instantly regenerate any damage with nanites from the vehicle's unlimited schematics: preferably as a personal vehicle for the president of the empire similar to the Presidential Beast but centuries ahead and one of the most advanced of all the vehicles!

It should cost around $400 Billion USD to construct a Monolith. Yup! With support crafts would cost about $500 billion USD. Thanks for asking!

Viper2458 In reply to Duskie-06 [2019-01-15 16:27:34 +0000 UTC]

That’s surprisingly cheap. I was expecting something like “The problem is in the form of the price tag for one of these. All eighty trillion of it. And that’s for one without the support units. If you want some the standard amount of behemoths as an escort as well it’s going add one hundred billion dollars to it.”

Duskie-06 In reply to titanpaul51x [2017-09-10 09:42:39 +0000 UTC]

Well, due to it's ultra heavy weight, it speed should be somewhere around 30 to 40 km/h at max on flat concrete ground. It has shield systems generated from danium plates built into the Monolith. As for personnel, it can hold up to about a few hundreds to a thousand troops to the battlefield.

There are many types of weapon modules that can be fitted onto this beast, such as laser turrets, railgun emplacements and projectile cannons. Nope, it doesn't have support ships and aircraft, but is has smaller support vehicles, such as Behemoths, and Gargantuas.

In fact, the two small tanks at the front of the Monolith are the Behemoths for scale

Leonitus [2017-03-04 15:02:57 +0000 UTC]

I feel like something this massive should have its own defensive fields or shields. If it were to rely on its armor instead, it'd definitely need some heavy fire interception systems for incoming missiles, artillery, and lasers. Those massive threads are far too exposed to getting tracked. Sure, it'd take a massive amount of firepower as those threads are very numerous and all look interconnected so knocking one out wouldn't do much unlike how it'd track a modern day tank, but it looks like taking out four or six of them that are side-by-side would cause some mobility issues.

It also doesn't look like it has much if anything going for it in regards to upclose anti-vehicle/infantry/gunship defenses. Yes, with its size, it probably has a dozen or more tanks and hundreds of troops to birth from its belly but I can't identify any close support weapon systems that'd have the depression needed to hit targets within a hundred meters. It'd be really helpful to have danger close fire support from an elevated position.
