I like Glory. She can be both awesome and a bit bitchy depending on the book. But Kestrel was a bitch to her all her life (because the Talons were fucking morons no I'm not letting that go), so it's understandable that she's prickly and closes off her emotions to others.

I like to headcanon that RainWings have the most versatile traits out of the Pyrrhian dragons, and thus their appearance varies depending on each dragon, as well as their body's response to their environment.

So with this headcanon, Glory's scales are duller than those of the rest of her tribe's inhabitants due to growing up without the proper amount of sunlight, and her scales grew in a defensive, bristling fashion to protect her.
