Day 2 brings us the nasty lady herself- Burn!!

Ah yes, the killer of Hvitur and the SkyWing egg that never lived to fulfill their role in the prophecy. Collector of weird things and all around bad bitch.

She's my favorite out of the three sisters. Tbh Blister annoyed me with her whole "haha I'm smarter than you" sctick. Blaze is honestly fine, she's my second favorite out of the sisters lol

I really wish we had more on the sisters besides the surface level observations from the dragonets of destiny. They're all just shoved into the superficial boxes of "bloodthirsty brute", "conniving snake", and "dumb as a fencepost" personalities. Burn in particular is shown to just be a violent dragon who goes around like "yes! war and death gimme gimme" when it would have much more interesting to show her as a clever warlord who uses brutality in strategic ways. Hell, in Deserter, once she knew the MudWings were separating from Blister's side of the war, she pulled her forces from a fruitless assault towards Blaze's fortress in the tundra, and took the opportunity to intimidate another ally onto her side. Thus gaining Queen Moorhen's troops to add to her own.

Granted, it would probably have been better to find Blaze and take her out, and then gather the MudWings to pin Blister down and get rid of her, too, but knowing Morrowseer and his meddling ways, he probably would have stopped her somehow and tipped the scales out of her favor.

I guess I've read too much Redwall, but Burn really gives me Cluny the Scourge and Gulo the Savage vibes, and I wish more could have been done to give her layers of cunning instead of her just... being the brute who's "predictable" according to Tsunami.

And Burn, how the hell did you not guess that Blister would have a trick up her sleeve when sending you a literal snake that can kill you with one bite? You've known your sly sister all your life, and fought her for 20 years, and yet you didn't predict that she'd send multiple deadly dragonbite vipers to make sure you die? You recognized the hiss of the viper, but never thought to check how many there were before opening it? Hell, make someone you hate open the box in case they get bitten, or wear some armor and dive in to yank them out yourself.

It would have been really cool if Burn opened the box before the climax in the stronghold, maybe found and even killed the snakes from the "gift", and tossed the limb bodies at Blister's feet with a sneering "I know you thought I was stupid, but really? Try harder next time."
