Hmmm, it's much closer to some of the old school platforms,which means it goes from "hey this is a bit easy" to ballbustingly tough once you hit the midpoint (the third boss took me from 30ish to 15 lives).
It's very satisfying to beat, though, and it has some fun mechanics and good music.
