Description
Walking into the hallway with all the dragon cages, Mikael saw Teeth in one cell and Astrid in the other right next to her. Both were trying to reach each other’s ropes through the bars, being entertaining to watch; until he got bored. “Take Astrid to my room. She’s going to have to get acquainted with her new lifestyle.
“Hmmph!” Astrid barked, seeing the three men march into her cell. Hefting her up and untying her ankles, they then forced her to walk.
“Let her go!” Teeth roared, unable to do anything but watch get marched off. “This is between me and you!”
“Ugh, that again?” He replied in annoyance. Smirking at Astrid as she walked past him, being held back by her escorts. She tried everything in her power to headbutt or kick him, but the men were too zealous in guarding her and protecting him. Until she was finally taken out of the hallway. “Even if she had nothing to do with us two. She’s someone I still want.”
“She’ll kill you the first chance she can!” Teeth roared, sitting up straight and trying to challenge his smug persona.
“Which is why she won’t get a chance. But that doesn’t concern you.” He muttered as he opened the cell door and walked into her prison. Kneeling in front of her, he squinted his eyes as if reading her, or trying to understand something. “I am curious though. Why did you stay here? All this time of being alive, and you never bothered to come home? Or try to reclaim the throne?”
“You know exactly why I couldn’t do that!” She roared, shaking in the ropes still holding her arms and legs. “Don’t be coy, Mikael! You’re a pampered brat, but I do know you’re smarter than that façade you put on! I didn’t have anyone behind me! No one! I’d be killed before anyone would hear the truth!”
“So you lived with Dragon Lovers. Hmm, I may even be able to have a public execution at the Wrathen Chambers with this kind of news.” He muttered, putting together a list of options together on how to kill her. “But we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. After I’ve had my fun with you at the Bone Islands at least.”
“Just shut up and fight me! Let me challenge you! Like a real Wrathen would do!” She screamed, letting spit fly in her rage! The ropes were digging into her wrists as she fought them with the burning desire to land one solid hit on his face! To do anything to kill him! “You and the Grimborns will die by my hand! Even if it kills me!”
Reaching forward and behind her with both hands, he retied the gag that was hanging from her neck. “I am looking forward to seeing how you kill me. When you’re going to be like this the rest of your days.”
“Mmphh!” She barked, trying to shake off the cloth.
“Savor that sound. The first thing that’s going to happen when you get to the Bone Islands is they’re going to take your tongue out. I still can’t risk you sharing what happened on the White Wake, can I?” He whispered evilly. At that, he then struck her in the side of the face again, knocking her down. “Get comfortable! It’s a long trip to your new home.”
“Rrmmm…” She groaned, unable to quell the pain on her face. Glaring at him as he slammed the door down, she continued to fight the ropes holding her back. If she couldn’t escape, not only would her vengeance be but a dream, but Astrid would be spending the rest of her life with Mikael. A fate arguably worse than death.
To be resumed in the full story.
Hey there! This was an illustration of a scene in my upcoming story, The Hunter's Destiny, as you read. It's going to be a HTTYD fanfiction, and the sequel to my previous story, The Hunter's Fate. Drawn by awhile ago for me, but I've been too busy (and partly lazy) to upload it. With a breather from school at the moment, I finally decided to get it up here!
