Description
Name: Dakarai
With Title: Dakarai Khan
Age: 5000+
Size: 2,56 m
Race: Orc / Aevi of Fire
Continent: Ignat'ur
Occupation: Chieftain of Urut'ash
History:
Dakarai was about 45 years old when he was hit on the head by a strange light during one of his patrols. At first believing someone was trying to attack him, the orc whirled around, swinging his ax wildly... until he realized he was standing in flames. Awestruck, he watched how his beloved steel ax melted in his hands and how his skin turned crimson... What in all ancestors names was happening?!
It took the orc a couple of centuries and a few generations aging and passing away in front of him until he realized that he himself wasn't growing older at all and even though the shamans kept telling him with his body temperature he should be long dead and in the halls of the ancestors, he felt fit as a fiddle. Fire and heat didn't bother him at all. He could forge weapons with bare hands, hammering down on them with his fist and shaping them in the heat. Not to mention it prove to be a rather effective fighting tactic to just roll into a ball and turn into a living torch, rolling across the battlefield.
Eventually though, the orc heard of others that didn't seem to age either. Meeting the other Aevi, he realized he was one of them and that he would live longer than all his children, grand children, grand grand children,...
While others probably would have been devastated by such a realization, the orc barely bothered. He lived in the here and now, taking a wife and being true to her until she died and if he fell in love again, he formed a new family. What use was there in grieving over mortals passing away?
About two centuries ago though, the people of Volganak, the capital of Urut'ash back then, dared killing one of his grand children. Furious, the Aevi rallied his tribe and attacked the city, burning it down to the ground. Ever since, Suru'krugh, home of the orcs, is the new capital of Urut'ash and Dakarai Khan one of the three Chieftains of Ignat'ur.
Personality:
It is easy to guess that Dakarai Khan isn't exactly the brightest bulb around. He is easy to fool and manipulate, but he has the heart of a true leader and great warrior. Honoring the ancestors even though he lived already when most of them were born and died eventually, the Chieftain is a faithful man that lives the way of the orcs entirely, sacrificing an animal, crops or sometimes a virgin to please the ancestors.
Dakarai Khan is a great warrior, living for the battlefield and doing nothing with more joy than having a nice good old brawl with his clan mates, breaking some noses and jaws... but when at home, he is a family man with a heart of gold, spoiling his many grand children with forged weapons or showing them how to break a skull with one's fist,... All in all, an oversized, ugly teddy bear when among his kin.
Abilities:
- Battle-Expert: No matter if hammer, ax, sword,... Dakarai knows how to handle a weapon, swinging it with scary precision considering how seemingly wild and forcefully he usually swings them. But the good old orcish ax is and will always stay his favorite.
- Fireball: Literally. Dakarai Khan can set himself on fire. Since he has no idea about magic at all, he can't throw fireballs or set distant things on fire... but when he cowers down and turns into a rolling fireball, there is absolutely nothing that can withstand his force and heat.
Additional:
- Meena, the Aevi of Water, is actually a very close friend of his family, having babysitted most of his children and grand children over the course of centuries, having grown into something like a little sister to him.
- The Chieftain of Mergol lost his left eye to the orc's ax. Dakarai enjoys reminding the poor dragon of this little fact.
- Even though Dakarai is the Aevi of Fire and thus something like an icon or deity for the people of Ignat'ur, he has little say when it comes to continental politics or to the other two kingdoms, Lorgah'nath and Mergol. The two Chieftains have a talent in fooling the poor orc into doing just exactly what they want as he doesn't possess the political finesse to realize it when Tyrant or the Black Lady are pulling his strings.
- The orc is... an orc through and through. Drinking, brawling, bashing some heads in,... those are his biggest hobbies. However, when among family he is far more gentle and careful... though being 'gentle and careful' while teaching a three year old how to swing an ax properly to behead someone in one skilled swing is still very orcish in a way...
Status Points:
Aevi do not have Status Points. They are deities and thus have an almost unlimited supply of ether within them.
Please do not attempt to challenge an Aevi unless you accept and agree beforehand that your character can't stand a chance against the demi god.
A giant thank you goes to for coming up with the first sketch design for him!! A few months ago, when he heard of Ether from us and that I was going to make a fire-orc, he offered to come up with a few designs, him included. The only 'rules' there were was 'red orc', 'fire related' and 'mayan design'. If it wasn't for his great first sketch, I would probably have some bishi orc now 8D So thanks a lot~~ <333
