Description
The lights dims up a bit with a spot light hitting on a concerned Caida but then an excited Cody runs up to her with a spotlight on him.
Cody: (Smiles and walks up to her) Caida there you are! (gets nervous) Ummm will you come with me?
Caida: (Looks at him suspiciously) Where?
Cody: (Looks down at his feet getting more nervous) The Nubian camp. (He sees that Caida rolls her eyes in annoyance and starts to walk away but he stops her with a hand on her shoulder. He turns her around) Look, everyone knows about you as the princess but we need you Caida. They want to honor your presence.
Caida: (Shrugs his hand off her shoulder and glares at him) Why? So they can see their princess as a reckless servant? (Walks off a little bit and softly shakes her head) This is what I am Cody. My father told me to not sail up to the country side but then again I couldn't be more constrained. So, I took have of the Nubian women and myself up there and that is where the Egyptians captured us. (Tears starts to form in her eyes and looks at Cody) I deserve this Cody, and the Nubian people deserves ta leader who thinks and not for their own selfish pleasures. (Looks down ashamed at herself)
Cody: (Pats her shoulder) Caida, the Nubians want their princess.
The lights start to come up to a dusty lifeless field with huts mad out of straws and mud. Nubians starts to come in and sit on the floor looking miserable. Caida walks off with the spotlight only on her and music starts playing. She looks at Cody and starts singing.
Caida:
It's knowing what they want of me that scares me
(Points to herself and then throws her hand away pointing out in the open)
It's knowing having followed that I must lead
(Looks behind her)
It's knowing that each person there compares me
(Walks off a little bit)
To those in my past whom I now succeed
(Places both hand on her chest)
But how can whatever I do for them now
(Walks back up to Cody)

The lights goes up to show all of the Nubians behind her and Cody joins the group as they start singing and are close to her.
Nubians:
Caida! Caida!
(Reaches their hands out to her)
All we ask of you
(A women holds up her baby that's wrapped up in ragged cloth to Caida and she puts her hnad the little infant's forehead to give it a blessing.)
Is a lifetime of service, wisdom, courage
(They stand up)
To ask more would be selfish
(They shake their heads)
But nothing less will do
Caida! Caida!
A Nubian comes up to Caida named Leshawna holding a long ragged quilting.
Leshawna:
(Looks up to the Princess with pleading eyes)
You robe should be golden, your robe should be perfect
Instead of this ragged concoction of thread
(Shakes the quilt)
But may you be moved by its desperate beauty
(Strokes the quilt)
To give us new life for we'd rather be dead
Then live in the squalor and shame of the slave
To the dance!

Leshawna kneels down and bows her head in front of Caida and starts to sob. Caida stands her up and hugs her and Leshawna walks back the Nubians.
Nubians:
(they reach their hands up again)
Caida! Caida!
All we ask of you
All we ask is a lifetime of
Service, wisdom, courage
To ask more would be selfish
But nothing less will do
Caida! Caida!
They and Caida back up except for four Nubian women named Gwen, Izzy, Leshawna, and Bridgette starts down a tribal dancing routine. Then all the Nubians joins in except Caida. They all sit on the ground and reaches their hands out to her and shouts "CAIDAAAAAAAAAA!" and then they all jump back up on their feet and continues their tribal dancing. They then crowd around her very close and pulls her down by her hands they start chanting.
Nubians:
Caida! Caida!
Caida! Caida! Caida!
The lights turn into a bluish type of color. Caida struggles to get out of the crowd of needing life of her people. She finally gets out and she puts her hand on her face and sobs. Leshawna and Gwen walks up to her with the quilt and she looks at them and she starts to have fire back in her eyes. The lights go back to the way they were and she starts to sing in a strong loud voice.
Caida:
(Glares to the distance)
I know expectations are wild and almost
Beyond my fulfillment but they won't hear
(She takes the quilt and walks up to the crowd and gets in the middle holding the cloth)
A word of a doubt or see signs of weakness
My nigh on impossible duty is clear
(She hold out her hand and slowly spins around to all of the Nubians)
If I can rekindle my ancestors' dreams
(Puts down her quilt)
It's enough
(She holds out her hands and her people bows down to her)
It's enough……………………..
Nubians:
(While bowing down her)
Caida! Caida! Caida! Caida! Caida! Caida!
(They reach out their hands up to her)
Caida:
It's ENOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
(Holds out one hand up to the sky)
Nubians:
(They bow again)
Ah,ah,ah,ah,ah,ah……………………………………………………………………………………….
The lights go down at the end of the song. The lights goes up a little bit as all the Nubians and Caida exits the stage except for Gwen, Leshawna, Izzy and Bridgette as they lay on the floor on their knees. The lights dims up more as another Nubian named Sierra comes in with a Basket on her head and hands out a linen to each of the girls on the ground . She goes on her knees next to Gwen and places the basket next to her as she pulls out her own linen to wash on the Nile shore. They start to whip them up in the hair while holding onto to them and bring them back down. While they are washing and drying the linens, a shirtless Duncan is carrying two jugs of water to them so they won't dehydrate in the desert heat. He doesn't notice that a mocha haired colored Nubian woman enters and starts to marvel at his well-sculpted features. Once the other women finished the linens they get up and exit the stage leaving a blushing Caida and Duncan who catches her stare. He smirks at her and walks up to her.
Duncan: (Wipes the sweat off his forehead and smirks down at her) Like what you see darling?
Caida: (Snaps out of her gaze and glares at him) I don't know what you're talking about captain. (Crosses her arms)
Duncan: (Chuckles) Don't try to fool me babe….. (gets closer to her and tilts her chin up to his face with his finger and huskily says) Besides ever since you first saw me when you and those women were captured by my soldiers you always wanted my attention. (Brings his lips closer to her ear. It mada her tremble with weakness as she feels his hot breath on her lobe. He whispers) But just remember Caida, just because you have my attention doesn't mean you get special treatment….. (he rubs her back) unless you want to do something for me that feels good. (He can tell she is getting weaker by his touch but knows that deep down she'll make him pay with his balls so he backs off and smirks at her) But you're too beautiful and smart to take down that offer.
Caida: (Glares at him again and furrows her eyebrows) The only reason why I pay any eyesight to you because I can laugh at how desperate you are to get my attention. (She gets close to him and growls to him) You're not that truthful enough to gain my lust for you ….now excuse me captain I have linens to wash. (she starts to walk off but felt a grip on her arm and stops. She turns around seeing its Duncan looking more determined than her)
Duncan: Did I excuse you? (Shakes his head) I don't think so Princess. (she glares at him harsher to that nickname) Just stop right here. (lets go of her and smirks)
Caida: (Huffs with annoyance) You want something from me captain?
Duncan: (Grins even bigger) Yes I do darling….I see that you're challenging me to gain your lust. So what do you want me to do?
Caida: (Looks at him demandingly and points her hand out to the open) Help my people.
Duncan: (Brings his hand up to her cheek slowly) I helped you didn't I?
Caida: (Smacks his hand away from her) I am my people! And I can't stand seeing the comfort of your palace women and men while my people out here are dying. (glares him with a raised eyebrow) If you want my lust captain (brings her lips closer to his) you do what I demand. (backs up a little bit and smirsk at him)
Duncan: (Gets close to her and points to the ground) I can have your lust right here if I command it! (Softens up and puts his hand on her shoulder) Is there any other way I can gain that affection from you?
Caida: (Looks at him in the eyes and gets lost in his eyes and leans in a little bit) I don't know.
Duncan: (starts to lean in and whispers) Then I'll do as you wish Caida. (his lips captures her lips)
They start to kiss gently. Caida tried to resist but she couldn't resist his hypnotic kiss, it's as though he's controlling her with his lips. She closes her eyes and starts kissing him back without knowing that a very eager Cody is heading to them.
Cody: (Shouts off-stage) CAIDA! (enters the stage and sees her and walks closer) Caida the – (Stops once he sees her kissing Duncan. They stop and looks at him startled. Cody shakes his head and walks up to Caida.) The princess asks for your assistance Caida…..you should get going. (Caida leaves hiding her blush. Once she leaves Cody gives Duncan a serious look and walks up to him) The princess? Remember? Master you are to be wed.
Music starts playing and Duncan Turns around to look at the direction that Caida ran off to. He faces Cody and slowly shakes his head and looks at his servant with a serious face of emotion and starts to sing.
Duncan:
I once knew all the answers
I stood on certain ground
(turns his head away from Cody and looks out in the distances in front of him and smiles to himself)
A picture of true happiness
(walks up a little bit)
Confidence so effortless
No brighter could be found
Cody:
(looks At him with shock of his changing personality and shakes his head in disbelief)
Oh No
Duncan:
(turns around and walks back up to Cody)
I never asked the questions
(faces to the front again)
That troubles me today
(walks away a little bit and shrugs)
I knew all there was to know
Love worn lightly
Put on show
(holds up his hands making a have square)
My conquests on display [Cody: I can't believe He's changing (looks so astonished and confused)]
A bunch of market salesman enters in with crates filled with fruits and foods to put on display to sell. Then women with racks of handmade fabrics, robes, jewelry, and freshly picked flowers enters in and puts their items up for display as well. A lot of women and men enters in wearing scarves on their heads and looks at the markets to purchase these items.
Duncan:
(walks a little bit further and grins up to the sky)
And who'd have thought that [Cody: Oh, no]
Confidence could die?
(points to himself with a smile)

That all I took for granted was a lie

(Smiles even bigger)

(exits the stage leaving Cody behind)
Cody:
(looks at the direction he exited)
He's in love
But he's not the only one
Who'll be changed
Cody leaves the stage as Caida and Sarah enters the stage. Caida is wearing her purple dress and a silk shawl wrapped around her shoulders while Sarah is wearing a long-strapless beautiful orange silk dress and is holding an orange sun umbrella over her head. They walk up to the fabric section of the market place. Caida picks out a light violet fabric as Sarah looks out in the distance pondering about her and Brad's situation but tries to also get away to talk to Duncan even though he never spoken to her since that night. Caida walks up behind her with the fabric in her hands and a smirk on her face.
Caida: (Unfolds the fabric and looks it and speaks to Sarah from behind) This will look fabulous on you. (Sarah turns around to her and Caida looks at her with a smirk) I'll say this of you Egyptians…. (examines the stitching of the fabric closely) your thread count is amazing. (She looks at Sarah noticing her sad facial expression and looks concerned) Hey what's wrong? Usually whenever you see a perfect fabric you get all excited but you're acting like it's not in your face.
Sarah: (Snaps out of her emotion and smiles quickly) Oh it's nothing Caida….. (Ponders on an reason to cover up why she is really concerned and upset to hide her and Brad's secret. She quickly thought of a good one and looked concerned again) It's just that, ever since that night with Duncan he hasn't made the effort to see me nor talk to me. I mean, we're getting married in 3 days and I haven't seen him at all. Caida I gotta make things right. (They walk away from each other to different sides of the stage. Caida is at the right and Sarah is at the left and they are both are staring out in the front.)
Caida:
(Smiles to herself)
I shall not envy lovers
But long for what they share
Sarah:
(Looks sad and worried)
An empty room is merciless
(Shakes her head softly)
Don't be surprised if I confess
I need some comfort there
Caida and Sarah:
And who'd have thought
(Both smiles heartedly)

They walk to the middle next each other and then a very cheerful Leshawna runs up to Caida holding a silky robe with no holes at all.
Leshawna: Caida look! (Holds out the clothing in her hands)
Caida: (Turns to her and widens her eyes and looks the fabric) Leshawna who gave you this?
Leshawna: (Smiles bigger) The Egyptian captain did. He's giving everything away and it's all to us. (Caida smiles even bigger to this news)
She and Sarah smiles to this news seeing that he's changing. Duncan enters in wearing a different outfit that is a tan pants with a tan vest with no shirt under it to show off his chest. He is carrying a basket full of objects from his place and Cody follows him carrying more clothing and fur blankets. They put them on the ground as Nubian people even children gathers around them as they give out all the items they have. Caida and Sarah looks this and is all happy to see this.
Sarah and Caida:
(Caida is holding her heart and looks like she has fallen in love with Duncan due to the fact he kept his word)
Who'd have guessed he'd
(Sarah smiles bigger figuring that if he's changing then it means he might give her more affection forgetting about her and Brad's plan)

Caida and Sarah walks to both different sides of the stage while Duncan and Cody stands next to each other in the background. All the Nubians exits with all the objects in their hands. The market salesmen and market customers exits leaving the four characters.
Duncan, Sarah, Caida:

Music is still playing quietly will the lights dims out a little bit around the two women as Duncan and Cody exits the stage. Sarah holds onto the shoulders Caida's shoulder to get her attention.
Sarah: (looks cheerful) Did you see that? He's already getting ready to move into the palace. He gave well everything away. I guess he's starting to forgive me about that night. Caida can you do me a favor?
Caida: (Looks at her curious) What would it be princess?
Sarah: (Looks hopeful) Can you talk to him and tell him I'm sorry for what I said that night?
Caida: (Widens her eyes) Me? Why?
Sarah: Because you're better with words than I am and I – (Gets interrupted by a nervous Caida)
Caida: (Shakes her head) No I can't princess….don't make me please. (Looks worried)
Sarah: (Looks at her caringly and shakes her head slowly) I would never make you do something Caida. (takes her hand in her palm and place her other hand on the tanned hand. She smiles at Caida and kindly says) But I'm asking you, as a friend.
Caida smiles back at her and Sarah exits. The music stops playing as the lights goes back up as we see Caida all alone in the desert. She is rubbing her palms looking nervous but then she sees Duncan and walks up to him and smiles. He turns around and sees her and then smiles as well.
Caida: (Blushes and looks at him with lust filled eyes) T-thank you.
Duncan: (Chuckles) It was nothing, well actually it was everything but it doesn't matter now. (He holds tilts her face up to look in her eyes and does a sweet kind smile and not his famous cocky smirk. He brushes a strain of her hair behind her left ear with his other hand and softly says) Just as long I have you Caida. (Leans in to kiss her but she backs away)
Caida: (Turns her head away to hide her blush) I came to tell you that the princess is sorry about that night in her bed chambers. (Looks at him again with nervousness)
Duncan: (Walks up to her) Caida. (Looks down at the floor all nervous too. Music starts to play for the upcoming song) I want to be with you.
Caida: (Looks confused) But what about….
Duncan: The wedding was arranged by my father, not me. (Puts his hands on her waist and gets closer to her) Caida I have feelings for you that never came to me whenever I see Sarah and I….
Caida: (Backs away from him a little bit with tears in her eyes and furrows her eyebrows) Yes but Duncan you are an Egyptian! (Shakes her head) Nothing can ever change that! (Crosses her arms and walks back up to and shake her head again) I don't even know why you've done this.
Duncan: (brings her closer to his chest by her waist and wipes a tear off her face. She looks up at him in the eyes and he looks at her with lust) It's because I love you.
The lights dims down around them as the music is still playing. Duncan hugs her loosely and caress her face softly with his hand and starts to sing.
Duncan:

(Goes down on his knees in front of her with his hands on her waist and she puts her hands on his hands. Caida looks at him with tears of lust and pleasure from his touch)

She goes down her knees as well in front of him as is so close to him that their chests are touching. She rubs his arms up and down as he caresses her waist.
Caida & Duncan:
(Duncan slides off her shawl exposing her cleavage a. He buries his face on the crook of her neck.)

(Caida's eyes fills with lust as she slides off his vest exposing his naked chest)

Caida:
(Tilts her head back as Duncan lightly kisses it while he is untying the laces at the back of her dress)

(Brings his head up to look into his teal eyes)

Duncan:
(Smirks while Caida rubs his chest up and down…..causing a little bulge in his pants)

(Caida lies down as he hover over her and their lips are centimeter apart)
