It's rare but if enough females have had cubs they'll revolt against the new male and sometimes they succeed not Chasing him away or even mortality injuring him

Well, when a new male takes over a pride for real, this is essentially what happens: The male kills off the cubs not fathered by him, and the female try to protect the cubs.

I, too, make the same mistake of that tiny, little white line around the character. Have you figured out a way to cease that from happening? =-P

In real life, lions really will try to hide their cubs from a new male lion to try and protect them. I don't know if it ever works, though...

l remember seeing a doc where a lion pride is taken by new males, the new males finds the pride too small or something so the decide to move to a new place, but one of the lionesses stays behind, she is pregnant with new cubs, as she stays put one of the older leaders comes back she gives birth to the cubs, and the male lion dont kill them. its rare but it does happen, and l also saw one where the lioness hides the newborn cubs until they dont smell like the old lion, but has their own smell. tricking the new leaders to think they are their cubs.

Scar wouldn't have killed the cubs, as he was already of the Pride. If two males are in a pride and one male dies, the other protects the cubs.

Yep. That makes it even sadder since females on their own usually can't hunt as well--especially caring for cubs. ~BUT~ for this scenario, you say that other lionesses run off too. Maybe they all pitch together for this? lol
But, without a male lion, they'd be more like wandering nomadic outcasts...But that's an interesting story, too, I think.

Well in real life, when a new lion takes place in the pride, all of the cubs that are not his are killed and eaten by him or the lionesses. It is just how lions work, especially since the king has to mate with every single lioness in the pride.
Which makes Simba and Nala half-brother and sister lol
