I think I saw that guy there when I was in New Orleans back in May of 2004 for my brothers graduation from Tulane.
Man, the French Quarter is amazing.

yanno, that is an /identical/ scene to one on Piccadilly in London near Green Park. Even with the same style fence and trees. Next time I go past I'll take a shot.

Oh yeah. I'm sure it's not at all unique. After all, New Orleans is one of the most "old world" like cities in the US.

This is a great photo. I love the fact you are using art to capture art. The perspective is neat and all the colors he is using makes a great photo of assortments.

I was sliding through and I KNEW that looked familiar.
I'm going to college here in New Orleans at Loyola University and just about the past 200 pics I've put up have dealt with the New Orleans area.
Pretty neat man.

Oh, my wife and I are definately interested in going back. There's other places we want to visit first. We're booked for travel through July already (my parents' place in May, vacation on the Gulf Coast at the end of June), and we want to go visit Toronto at some point in the near future too.
Still, we'll head back, and maybe we'll have a bit more coin to rub together when we do go.

Yup. I think you met Kristen while you were here in Chambana last, if only briefly. Man, that was a while ago. I think I was drunk at that party, telling whomever would listen that I would eventually marry that girl. A self-fulfilling prophecy, perhaps?
Kristen and I got engaged last summer and we had a small, quiet wedding in Crystal Lake Park in Urbana on 29 Feburary. We are still intending to have a more formal ceremony and reception during the summer of 2005, but there are a number of reasons why it was advantageous for us to get married sooner rather than later: she'll get in-state residency next year, better financial stabilty for us, etc. etc.
As for the photo, yeah. That's right off Jackson Square. Just to the north of it, actually, by the cathedral. I believe I was standing on the corner of Chartres and St. Louis as I took this.
