Really want to get better at digital painting, think I have quite a way to go. Never really learnt to paint by hand have only really done it with copic markers and always over lineart. This was based on a pic of the girl from Breaking Bad. I've added a texture layer at the end and also did a quick unsharp mask filter to define the strokes a little. One thing I've noticed is that it's even harder to know when you're done than lineart!Related content

i think you nailed the skin tones. it still has your Dylan Teague style despite going through a whole different method. cant wait to see what else you come out with. fine work sir.

Thanks Kat!. Yeah I use a Cintiq 12wx, I used to use the A4 Intuos 3 before that.

Looks good to me and if it's any consolation it's a lot better than anything i've produced. I want to be able to do digital painting too and cant get my head/hand/computer around it. I think it's just trail and error finding that works for you, i'm sure you'll get there.
