Now for something different here at DA…
I borrowed my friend’s captation buttons from his “J” theme (one of my favorites!) here is a [link] and modified the color to match my visual style.
Also, I did not include the Wallpaper as it is from Here is the [link] to the wallpaper.
All other files are original to my work. I hope you all enjoy and as usual all comments and suggestions are welcome. In the end this is for you people as much as it is for myself.

Nice theme..
Unfortunately, the glass aero doesnt seem to work for me and it stays Vista Basic Opaque style. It's a VistaGlazz problem as all my other themes are the same.. anyway,
I also get an error when accessing control panel
"The ordinal 120 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll"
and also, MSN stops responding the moment i log into it
Would have been perfect if not for those few errors.

I can not figure out how to make this work for anything... I downloaded the Ux.dll patch or whatever its called but i pretty much can't figure anything out from there. If you could help it would be greatly appreciated because this theme looks awesome. Thanks

umm i need help, with the explorer bit,
when u said u have to rename it, what do u rename it to ?
because u said,
You must rename the old explorer.exe as explorer.exe and drag the new explorer.exe in c/Windows
which is exactly the same ?
so yeah this bit confused me,
& the first time i did it, my desktop disappeared, so i had to restore, but its all good now,
i just need help on that bit :/

hey man sick theme......me likey ver much.....great success
anyways this is my first time ever screwing around with changing shit on my computer so at first i was having the shittiest time finding a patch for my vista sp1 64bit.....(this is a link to the website i used to get the patch and instructions [link] ) ......but then i found some random thing that was supposed to work with another theme.....spent bout 2 hrs screwing with with my system32 dll.'s and finally got something done
installed the other theme and it worked fine....
then i found this theme and decided to get it.......got real pissed when it said only 32bit systems would work but i extracted the files anyways and gave it a try.....at first it didnt work....but then i tried switching back to windowsvista theme at the very top and it turned out that the theme did install with a different name for some reason....anyways it works real well.....plus it looks way badass.....just copied the pic from the link u provided and set it as the bkgrnd
i do have one question though for anyone who can help.......do u know how to change the color of ur wmp buttons? the blu thing is getting old

Yeah, I tried using it... but I the back/forward buttons don't actually show unless I need to go back, and I don't have the really good looking black play button you show on wmp there!

The visual style will work... what won't work is the browseui.dll, Ieframe.dll & Explorer.exe if you exchange them, it will crash your system.

I have been using this theme for a while now and I love it. Thank you so much. The only complaint I have with it, however, is that it looks like this was originally an XP theme, and as such some of the new Vista functionality has been lost. The are only two thing that I noticed were missing. One is the Windows+Tab method of cycling through the available windows (which doesn't really matter, since Alt+Tab still works perfectly fine). The other one (the one I would like to see fixed) is that I lost the ability to see a preview of a minimized window when I hover my mouse over it in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. I used to use this feature by playing a video in one window, minimizing it, and working in another window (without the mouse, just using the tab key and keyboard shortcuts to navigate the page) while I had the sound from the video coming out my speakers and the small preview window playing the video.
So, is there some way for me to use this theme and still be able to use the mouse over preview function of Vista? Is there a similar theme that lets me use this feature? Is there someway I could modify the .dll files you gave me to allow your theme to show previews (I have some programming experience in C and C++ and such, but I have never written/modified .dll file code)?
Again, thank you for this awesome theme, but this one minor tweak would make it perfect.

Hi there, I really appreciate the nice comment on my theme. You must have changed some settings because both the Windows+tab & minimized windows do work on my pc. the visual style, browseui.dll and Ieframe.dll does not change that funcionality. By the way, I did not port this from windows xp. It was created specifically for Vista. I'm sorry I couldn't help you any better with your problem, but I will try to find out which setting you changed that lost those features and will get back to you.

I downloaded the theme and it works great, but for some reason the color of the buttons on Windows Media Player didn't change. I am running WMP 11, and the default sky blue that it insists on using really clashes with the rest of the theme. I thought this was weird since the colors on Internet Explorer changed, and I thought they were both controlled by the same thing.

Hey there,
The theme looks amazing. which makes me even sadder that I am not able to make this work. I feel really stupid...i've been at it for 3 hours (hope that makes you realize how much I want it). I've granted ownership to all the files and renamed them all .old and put your versions over the top. I got the 3 files to hack my system and replaced those in system32 and windows folder...I've done EVERYTHING i can find in these tutorials...the only thing that happens is my system runs slower..my windows look plane and if i replace explorer.exe I have to run prompt in safe mode to switch it back.
is ANYONE able to help walk me through this...I have no idea what I am doing wrong... You can reach me here or on AIM as Egealeye....it would be MUCH appreciated...Thanks all.
