The title of this piece reminded me of one of my favourite songs, in fact, I thought it was a quote until I Googled the lyrics! - Look up 'Mercy Street' I think the lyrics and images fit this photo perfectly. It is a gorgeous capture, great lighting

I thought this was monochromatic until I caught the touch of green in the grass. Was this the natural light at the time?

Well the only light at the time was from the lights overhead. I changed very little except reducing the saturation of the light as it was too intense.

Thanks, I pass this place all the time, and when I saw this guy walking down this lane I knew I had to take a photo quick. It's always been a very atmospheric place.

This image reminds me so much of the mysterious ambience created in Zafรณn's novels. I like the way you captured the contrast between the street lamp light and the shadowed part.

Thanks, I actually wasn't familiar with Zafรณn before you mentioned it but now that I googled him it actually looks similar to the photo.
