Digital work using both Painter and Photoshop. Reference was photo I took of Ghosttrin .

This picture has two titles. Just to be awkward. Sometimes I call it The Mirror of Illusion which is a song that I really like by the band Hawkwind and I did feel that it was quite appropriate for this picture. It is also called Dark Angel. What she sees in the mirror is an alter ego that she did not realize she had. She does not recognize the person who looks back from the mirror. It represents a period of change.

The mirror frame is inspire by both Art Nouveau and Celtic Art.

[edit] 29-03-08 Worked over skin, hair and highlights to improve definition in the image.

[edit] 25-03-09 A year after the last edit I went back over the image again. Quite substantially this time and it is probably now finished. Though I thought it was before. As I was completing the reworking. I was asked to submit some art for a book due out in the Autumn. I put this one in for consideration and am waiting for confirmation of its inclusion. I will amend when that happens.
