Horses are such gentle creatures. If I were him, I'd never let anyone put that much of metal junk in my mouth. It's just a sad, sad view for me.
Nice quality of the photo though.

I forgot to mention that the title of this work could be altered to: A horse is ONLY a horse.
For many people, sure enough.

Nice photo. Shows very well how cruel peoples desire for power and grace are destroying these beautiful beings, horses

wow you dont see it?.. you can easily see that the muscles around the mouth are tense, the horse actually has its mouth open and the foam isn't nice either. That type of bit does have an arch in the middle so that it gets pushed against the palate. Also the bit is laying on bars in the mouth which are only covered with few few mm. of skin. and to that I would like to add that the tongue and the skin in the mouth is the most sensitive on the horse (the nervous system) also the bit is placed against the premolars with is very painful for the horse.

i wasn't going as much as destroying the horse but more of a restrained feel. i can assure you that the horse i took a picture of was very happy, but he was getting a little impatient with the rider and started acting up. i am glad that you get a strong sense of emotion from this picture though

Hihi well when a horse is "bound" (no matter in what way) and isn't capable of "being", that is in my eyes, what destroys a horse, when talking about the psychological too XD

And yes, its a great photo, makes a strong impression
