Have you ever had the feeling when you're driving past them that you don't seem to be moving? They really do give the feeling of being magical.

I have only been there the one time and it really was so magical that I was in a state of hyper alertness. Plus the camera was snapping so fast that I wished we were standing still so I could take more time with set up, composition and focusing. That entire day was magical in so many ways!!!

Seattle! We were just visiting Arizona this winter, but we have friends we visited while we were there who do live in Chandler. Chandler is a beautiful community! I love the roads all throughout the Phoenix area. It was so easy to navigate. Yesterday we got lost trying to find Costco from Seattle Cancer Care Alliance! We were wishing for those nice straight one mile grids like you have there. By the time we had been in Arizona for two days we couldn't get lost anymore! Compared with an entire lifetime in the Seattle area, it's no wonder I persist in the thoughts that I can get lost anywhere...

ah okay... i do suppose when you get down here you enjoy all the sunshine! i know when we lived in the bay area the roads were laid out all windy and curvy. here they are straighter- our frustration is though they break up and restart constantly... now that can get you lost! have a lovely weekend!

Thankfully, we did not have to deal with that a lot. There was one section that was closed for construction in Tempe and we were trying to navigate around that at rush hour. It was a bit of a headache, but we did not get lost. We were just a little late getting to our friends house in Chandler because of it.

I love the way you captured the clouds. Another fantastic picture!

They were telling us that the sky is normally blue without a cloud in sight. They had some rain the day before so everything was green and there were still a few clouds in the sky. I find it a lot more interesting when there are clouds. I wonder how many people who live in Arizona will think it looks foreign to see all those pretty fluffy clouds in their mountains...

Clouds do add a lot of personality, and you captured it so well.

Sadly, I can't take too much credit there, I was just pointing the camera out the window and shooting away. Just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. But thank you just the same.

You can still take credit for it. Otherwise, the world would've missed these great pictures.

I like the contrast between the distant mountain and the closer red cliff!
