He first appeared in the IDW More Than Meets The Eye comics #4 and is a decepticon-turned autobot medic posted in an autobot medical facility along with First Aid. MTMTE #4 and #5 is a Ratchet centered medical/detective/adventure two part-er story I highly recommend.
