Just some quick sketchadoodle I did while I was lazing about. I did it mostly because I really do love this pairing, but I don't draw it nearly enough. That, and because the older version of this sketch is.... ah... pretty bad. :C So I guess it's an excuse to draw Braeburn and Little Strongheart together as well as a redraw thingy. c:

I had a terrible terrible TERRIBLE habit of making the head far too small for the body back then. I'm so glad I grew out of that. T.T I've also gotten a tiny bit better with anatomy I suppose. o3o

ANYWAY! Enough about that! About the drawing itself and such. Meaning it's HEADCANON TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME! >8D

Ahem.

This is pretty much how I'd see Little Strongheart as an adult. She gets bigger than what she was in the show, but she won't grow any taller than Braeburn. I haven't decided why yet, though... I'm going back and forth between her having a sort of birth defect, or with her simply being born small. As such, her legs are a bit thinner and longer than the average buffalo of this universe, and she doesn't have the massive strength others of her kind have. However, she makes up for it with breakneck speed and agility. Pair that with a quick-thinking mind and you have yourself a formidable fighter. She's also the daughter of Chief Thunderhooves (I dunno if that's canon or not. o3o) so she's next in line to be leader.

As for Braeburn, despite him being very much a part of the Apple Family, I don't see him as a particularly large pony. He'd be a tad taller than the average stallion, but he certainly doesn't have the draft-horse his Ponyville cousins have (not ALL Apples are draft-horse like. :/ ). Instead, he's a little more like a quarter horse.

As for the ship itself, I really didn't think much about it, other than thinking it's pretty cute. There are a lot of possibilities with it though, so I'll eventually think of something for their "backdrop" or whatever. What I want to know is how their kid would look if they somehow managed to produce one together. I've seen several possibilities if a dragon and pony got together, as well as the hippogryph being the result of a griffon and pony pair. But never for these two.

...I just may try drawin' one of sheer curiosity. o.O
