And finally, we have ourselves the ever so lovely fashionista, Rarity! I really love how simplistic her color scheme is. Her mane is also among my favorite to draw; I have this thing for drawing wavy/curly hair, you see. Just so much fun. o3o

And just a random note, but sometimes I like to call her Rarity Belle. Obviously, everyone would still call her just Rarity, but I think "Belle" is actually a pretty fitting surname if she were to have one, and it has a very nice ring to it. o3o

She, Rainbow, and Shy Shy are all about the same height, although Rarebear may be a tiny bit taller than them. Her body is a little similar to Shy Shy, however it is more compact and solid. She has a little more muscle mass to her, and when she walks there's a certain delicate power rippling under her coat. What's more unique about her appearance is that her coat almost always has a certain sheen to it. This is because, somewhere in her gene pool (on her mother's side), she has the blood of a Crystal Pony. She managed to inherit some of the almost ethereal shine that's common of the breed, even if it's just a little. If she stands in the sun or a certain type of lighting, it's a little easier to see. Pair that with the fact that a pure white coat is actually one of the more uncommon colors among the breeds, and you have yourself a bit of an exotic beauty. If she so wanted, she could easily pursue a modeling career and make her way to the top very quickly, but as the canon established, she's more into the designing aspect of fashion than the actual modeling part.

Another thing about Rarity is, due to having some Crystal Pony blood in her gene pool, she has rather unique magic. She's actually quite an exceptionally skilled magic user, and her magic revolves around crystals and gem stones. Like a Crystal Pony, she can manipulate these gems and crystals to her will, in a fashion that isn't unlike an Earth Pony. As such, and paired with the fact she took extensive classes in self-defense (dunno which sort of fighting style/martial art though. Any suggestions?) she makes quite a force to be reckoned with.

So, what I think of when I look at Rarity is a mare who is very successful. She is determined, she is driven, and when she wants something, then she's stubborn enough to keep at it until she gets it. She won't just wait for someone to come along and do it for her; that's just not her style. It's because of her drive that gets her business off the ground and into the slow but steady climb into being one of the most sought-out lines in the fashion industry.

And as the show has already established, she's VERY creative. Give her anything and she could make it into something unique, appealing, wearable, and practical. Being the way she is, as well, her prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the level of quality to her work. It's also plays a part in why her fashion lines are becoming popular; almost anyone can afford it, and it doesn't matter who you are, you're welcome into her store without a second thought.

Rarity can be selfish and self-centered at times, yes, but she's the Element of Generosity for a reason. She's very giving, whether it be making an outfit for a client who's low on money for free, or buying a random stranger their meal, she's done it all, and still does so. Sometimes it gets to the point where she neglects herself, but her friends are quick to remind her and help though.

When I see Rarity's cutie mark, I don't think it represents fashion. To me, the aspect of Rarity it stands for is, regardless of how much she seems "cultured" or among the "noble ponies", she doesn't turn anyone away when they need help. She's a "diamond in the rough", in that she can make anyone and everyone feel beautiful, whether through her fashion skills or through showing pure compassion to someone. I have it headcanoned that it isn't uncommon for her and Pinkie to collaborate in projects, like say... visiting an orphanage to play with them and give them brand new toys Rarity made, or perhaps visiting a hospital for an impromptu fashion show to take their mind off of things.
