Here we go! The finished version of the headcanon reference of Twily. C: For one reason or another, I absolutely love drawing the Mane 6. For Twilight, I think it's her overall design and her color scheme that makes her so fun; I dunno man, but I had loads of fun drawing this. o3o

Anyway, without further ado, HEADCANON TIMEZ YUSH.

With Twilight Sparkle, I've always seen her as the second tallest. She was always taller than everyone but AJ, but the height difference is significant now because her ascension tapped into the somewhat dormant draft horse she has in her pedigree. Now she stands at around 4'7 at the withers.

As far as her appearance goes, as I've said before, I kinda see her having a little bit of draft horse in her. She and Shining Armor get it from their father, although Shining simply took to it far more than Night Light did. She was always lean, but her body is now becoming toned with muscle due to her additional training as Princess Ambassador and Knight of Equestria.

I've the headcanon that, after a few years being an alicorn, her appearance and color scheme will begin to shift a little more toward a twilit evening, specifically in her wings and hair. She'll begin to grow small, golden-yellow streaks in her mane and tail (got the idea from the Rainbow Power design), and her wings will reflect a twilit sky with a few stars thrown in there. Same with her hair, although it's more toward night.

She has two scars on her left cheek, the smaller, more faded one being from a fight with bullies, and the second larger one being recent, when she was handling Cerberus from the episode It's About Time. Also, as she ages, her appearance will shift into something slightly more feral, where her fangs will get just a tad longer and her pupils become more oval in shape.

The thing with Twi is that there are some who write her off as a goody two-shoes, which I disagree with.

When I look at Twilight Sparkle, I see a character who is very intelligent, responsible, and curious about the world around her. It's because of this insatiable curiosity that she reads so much, and through that, as well as her ability to continuously absorb and learn, comes her very extensive knowledge on several topics. This, of course, includes the difficult subjects too.

But in my headcanon, it's because of this intelligence that Twilight, when she was younger, felt alienated. She didn't make friends not because of her lack of interest (she has tried on many occasions), but because of how others treated her due to her smarts. They either saw her as a personal homework answering assistant, a nerd, a weirdo, or a suckup (which she isn't). Pair that with the fact that she has extraordinary magical power and becoming Celestia's personal student, along with others who either had unfair expectations of her, or as a ticket to climb the social ladder and get closer to Celestia, and you have yourself a filly who's been faced with scorn, manipulative peers and teachers alike, and bullying during most of her school years.

As such, Twilight has a lot of insecurities, and sometimes suffers from anxiety. She's afraid of failing, she's organized to the point that she's almost OCD, and when she does get scolded she very likely to take it to heart. Even with these inhibitions, Twilight is still brave, kind, compassionate, and takes on the role of leader very well. This definitely grew during her time in Ponyville as well. Throughout her stay, interactions with the friendly townsfolk, and the support of her friends, Twilight slowly managed to get over many of her insecurities, including most of her anxiety and the ability to take criticism.
