Another ice age winter has come to the valley. Mimi, being the hunter, keeps warm with the pelts of her many kills. Gawf, the world's first vegetarian, however, is less prepared. Why she even wears that much fur, I don't know.Related content

Hahaha, poor Gawf, it seem that being the first vegetarian requires militant discipline, and true dedication.
What I like most about this drawing is Gawf’s body freezing blue; you captured the cartoony element of hypothermia. It’s funny to see Gawf having nose-icicles and shriving like there no tomorrow. I find it extremely funny that Mimi really doesn’t care that her friend’s freezing to near death. She’s just decked out with all the dead animals and game to keep her warm. Mimi face, in contrasted with Gawf, is what captures this drawing.
The backgrounds are nice as well; you did an excellent job on capturing the feeling of a hard pounding winter storm, outside the cave. Also the shadow work is really great, as well. It really looks like it reflects off of their bodies.
You did a really splendid job on this.

Thanks very much. That's always something I like about cartoons, finding new ways to exaggerate things and get the point across, like Gawf's blue, frozen body. I'm sure Mimi's offered her a pelt, but Gawf is too proud to accept dead animal skin.
Thanks again. I think I took the background from a scanned piece of paper, and just turned up the contrast. It's fun to experiment.
