Description Finished! This was a lot of fun to draw, playing around with the colors was very exciting; it's good to add some color into such a predominantly grey character.

Everything is wrong with his neck. I didn't really notice it until people pointed it out. Its much more muted in the original drawing, I'll have to rescan it one of these days.

mixed colours... yummy I really like the colouring but I think there's something wrong with his neck... Too many wrinkles, it looks very unnatural. It gives an impression of an alien more than human, or at least an very old man.

Thanks! His neck looked really strained in the reference shots for this, but probably not that much. I suppose he is a bit alien though.

Absolutely lovely, although Moriarty is horrifyingly seething with rage. The colors and the attention to detail in this work are simply beautiful, can anything poor be said on this? I think not

(sorry for the lack of a pwoper comment. I honestly think this is one of your better pencil pieces. I'm totally amazed by your usage of colours, which are perfectly crosshatched and blended together like I've almost never seen before. Which reminds me to send you a nice example of a beautiful coloured portrait of a boar. Hey, now that I think about it, not such a lack of a pwoper comment after all.)

Thanks so much! I had a lot of fun working on this, this is the first finished colored pencil drawing I've done in almost 3 years I'd love to see your boar picture, they're a really amazing animal, and their hair structure is an exciting challenge to draw.

It is really well made! I like the description "predominantly grey". Are the two darker shapes in the red part meant to refer Sherlock Holmes and John Watson? Or are they coincedence?
