Well Homage did travel far and wide across the wasteland before so she probably picked up a few interesting things, and having a PipBuck stashed away could come in really handy when needing a map, identifying salvage, repairing/destroying toasters, etc.

... or she could be imagining using SATS on the toaster, who knows?
