18"x24" Canvas Acrylic paintingThe reference was "À Côté de la Fontaine" by Susan Harrison-Tustain.
I am happy about how it turned out. It is a big growth since my other flower paintings, I think.

Did you do the background, wait for it to dry, and then sketch the flowers?

Well this one is acrylic. I did the drawing first, then I did the background (painting around the flowers), and it took a lot of work because my black acrylic paint is not very rich and reflects in weird greys when mixed with water. When that was done, I painted the flowers and everything else. In the end, I returned to the background again so that I could bring some of its color into the leaves further away.
