Description
"Daedalus told his beloved son exactly where to fly:halfway between the sun and the water, no higher and lower.
But Icarus was a dreamer. He ignored those warnings.
He flew too close to the sun, and the waxed wings tragically melted. Icarus plunged into the sea...and that's how he ended his life
TwT A final project illustration for World Mythology class. Icarus died because his own ignorance...or maybe desire (it depends on each person's view, I guess)...it's true. But is that because the brightness of the sun was too tempting for him? I'm just curious >D

I believe he fell because he believed that he belonged with the gods, although I am probably wrong... Anyway, I would love to use this for a book on Wattpad. Just let me know if you want it down, and I'll do it.

I've done this one for my class around 2009 (when I referred about my class, I mean the class from SCAD- Savannah College of Art and Design, located in Savannah, GA). Not sure about the exact date since it's been so long but it should be around May as I posted this image on my DA site.
If you're picking this image as your project/research, I wouldn't mind at all (as long as the image isn't used for any profit).
And if you can include the info about the artist name (use Ecthelian should be fine, unless your professor has specified the actual name), that would be nice too. thanks!

I actually wrote a poem on it. ^^
I think that Icarus, being the dreamer that he is, wanted to touch the sky. [[Bcos what human being doesn't want to fly?]]
He was told not to &&...in defiance...he tried~.
Anyway, that's just my take on it. ^^

Icarus had wax wings that his father made,so when he flew too close to the sun they melted. Hermes/Mercury was the messenger of the gods and had winged sandals.

I'm pretty sure it was wings... I think Mercury had wings on his shoes, though? Could be muddled.
