The Texas simmers on a passing siding high in the mountain pass, having run around her train. Her crew is already busying themselves retrieving their train orders from the depot. Then, it will be a quick move to the water tank to replenish their supply. As well as a stop at the woodrick. Before the sun hits high noon, the little standard will be back on the main, doing all she can to hold the balance of tonnage on the downgrade.
My HO scale model of the Texas (still slightly unfinished) hanging out on a friendβs layout after having climbed her way up some rather grueling grades with a short train.

Yes, they are close enough to be the same. The paint work is pretty much the same. The only difference is that the Dispatch, other then being a coal burner, has archbar trucks under her tender. The photos I shared via Facebook are closer to Dispatch then the Texas. (As that model is slated to become a model of the Dispatch.)
I'm actually reverse engineering a bit. Because once this is all said and done, I'll probably draw the Dispatch based on the model and your illustrations.

I actually call it: "Dinkley Locomotive and Machine" 
I started building kit and scratch locomotives under that name. I've sold two so far.

Very impressive! The paint really stands out, especially the very fine white walls.
