Description
This is the entrance of "Rosengarten"(Roses'garden) in the realm of legendary "King Laurino". In the mists of time here the roses was blooming but a curse turned theminto stones. (see: C.F.Wolfss: "Leggende delle Dolomiti")
In this photograph you can see the "Re Alberto" shelter, Cima delle Pope,Gran Cront and background the Marmolada.

So desolute. I don't think anything will grow there. Not even a single tree which I am so used to amongst mountains. So high up. great capture. Well done and thank you so much for sharing.
