Medium: Watercolor on 1/4 Illustration Board

This was my watercolor project in Arts when I was on my senior year in high school. I almost gave up when doing it because I am judging my work even if it's not yet done. I keep on saying that "This is ugly!" but my aunt cheers me up and encourages me to finish it and this is the result. She taught me not to give up and don't judge my works when it's in progress. I used the medium in wrong way because of the solidity and hardness of colors. As I grew up I learn what is the proper way of using watercolor but I haven't try to use it.

I edited in Photoshop CS6 to remove the reflection of the camera flash. I am looking for the reference from Google Images to put the link here but I cannot find it now.
