Description
Well, this is my version of Souji(ro) Okita (yes, his name really was Soujiro). Mmm... to be honest, I was planning on making a small comic based on the Shinsengumi and sent it in to a contest, but have finally decieded that "screw the contest, I don't have the stuff I need to make tones and stuff". So, eventually, I'll post the comic pages here, just be warned... my pensmenship/ inking isn't too good so the pages will look like there lacking a ton of stuff. And as usual, I'll still be exerpimenting with inking style and manga type pages.

Anywho... brief history on Souji Okita for those of you who don't know:
He was born near present day Tokyo and I have no clue into what kind of family he was born into. At the age of 9 he began to attend a dojo who's teacher was Kondou Isami (later, this guy is the Captain of the Shinsengumi). By the age of 12 he was regularly kicking asses on a daily basis and by the age of 18 he became a teacher in the dojo. Souji was about 20 years old when he joined the Shinsengumi and shortly aferwards he contracted Tuberculosis, which he kept a secret from even his closest friends. A year later, he coughed out an increadible amount of blood and passed out during the Ikedaya Inn Raid, finally revealing his condition. He refused to step down from his position as captain of the first unit and it was finally agreed that his condition would be kept a secret to the rest of the group. Finally, Souji passed away in a Turberculosis center in Edo (Tokyo) at the age of 25.
