Description Another try at doing something with pen and ink. And I think I did a better job at this one than my previous try (which was a quick sketch on printer paper, while this was a bigger drawing on better paper). So yeah, maybe maybe maybe I might get the hang of pen and ink. Someday. ='3

And I hope you can recognize what this is from. Anyone familiar with the fable of the fox and the raven? If not, go read it somewhere (google is great), and if you do, yay!

Again, tips on inking would be nice, especially if you've used them before and stuff. ^____^

Edit: Wow. I never ever ever expected to get a DD, and especially not on this drawing, which was one of my experiments.
I am so happy and I want to thank you all for viewing this drawing and for all the favs and comments! They mean a lot to me! Also a huge thank you to =pendlestock and ^guruubii for giving me this DD. You rock!

I recognised it immediately. You are certainly not as bad at pen and ink as you say you are. I think this picture has a lot of volume and detail to it.

Glad you recognised it! And I know I'm not horrible at pen and ink, but I still have a lot to learn as well (this was one of my first real drawings done with it, so yeah ). But thank you!

Renard the Fox!. . .right? Well, if it's not, then it certianly looks it. I had to read that story for a humanities class. Wish they had these kind of pictures instead the old French ones though. Certainly would have been a little bit clearer. Ah well. Lovely picture though.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Eenuh In reply to bRoKeNgRiN [2007-10-04 17:17:57 +0000 UTC]

Nope, it's not Renard the Fox (though those are pretty nice stories too). It's the fable of the Fox and the Raven by Aesop. Pretty short, but very nice (he's got other ones too that you should read as well).
Thanks for your great comment by the way.

Very awesome work. ^_^ Keep it up. I love the amount of details and how you've captured the spirit of the story in a single picture. I think anyone who's familiar with it can immedeatly recognize it from this one.
