Hyah - I hate the glare and the gesso marks. . it takes away from the depth of the image in my view.
That face and attitude are stunning, as are the colors. Hot chasing cool, and getting suspended in mid-air.
I think the dark/light are brilliant - composition great.
I wanna see this on a darkish wall at the end of a hallway within a crazy vintage frame lit with just a exactly-bright-enough yellow spotlight. . . . that would be lovely.

Indeed, the gesso was a touch out of control on this one. And I almost burned up my sander attempting to smooth it out.

Yeah I studied Rembrandt's skin tones and warm to cool transitions, and used that to help me figure these out, thanks....
