true, that. Although it's not the warmest of days today -only got to 23 (celcius) =/ Was up to 36 last week! (thought that's probably a little too hot ) Why can't it just be 30?

Yup, although for good beaches you have to drive quite a long way, but the majority of Aussies live near the ocean, that's where almost all our main cities are.

Pretty much. There are still some towns & smaller cities in the middle of course -you can see on this map: [link] All the cities in big lettering are the capitals of each state, the smaller lettering are the smaller but still considerable sized towns/cities around the place. So there are very few inland.

I had a teacher back in school coming from Melbourne
I wanted to go to an english speaking country anyway cause I love the language, so why not? you guys also have a cool accent

lol well, I don't actually have an Aussie accent for some reason -sorry to dissapoint! lol. Yeh even though I was born here, some people mistake me for American, other British, others don't know what the hell my accent is -I don't know either! The funny thing is, I've never been to the UK & I've only been to America on holiday once, so I don't know how in the world I may have picked up some of those accents...

ahah, I understand, I have really strange situation too!! my italian doesn't have regional inflections, and when I speak english many people say I don't have an italian accent.
It should be strong considering they are totally different languages with totally different sounds, not to mention every italian I know speaks an italian accent °-° I think it depends on the media, shows, movies and stuff like that. I watch a lot of films from America and UK, always with the original dubbing, so I ended up with this really weird mixture that my teacher - 100% english accent- still laughs at xD

Yeah it is quite different here -especially with the whole multiculturalism thing (We have people here from literally all around the world) so everyone just presumes I'm one of them though I'm born Aussie! lol
