this photograph is one of those photos with an entire life behind it, in this split second somthing is happening, and its an amazing photo, but it makes you think whats the child thinking, whats he gonna do next..
that is what makes it a great photograph

Excellent photojournalism-like work! I love this portrait! Spontaneous, real, alive, true. Nice composition with use of the left third, repetition and framing as compositional elements. Excellent light and appropriate exposure. Great levels and b&w edit. Quick question: while it looks like digital (sharpness) at this size/resolution, could still be film--which one is it? Anyways, who cares? Lots of mood and impact.
Only minor critique is children photog' & angles--I mean the actual angle here is a bit 'pedestrian', I would have crouched a tiny lil'bit.
Bottom line: congrats for the excellent work and the well deserved DD

well, if u choose on u'r way, its difficult when you run out of time.
maybe in the middle of street, which need a sudden movement to move away from the car that accros street.
i just use my intuitive and just snap it!
