Description My image of complete darkness after life

---

I was going to finish this, but I realized this image has been done before.. I came over Francis Bacon artwork and freezed when I saw one of his after life portraits. [link]

I dont know if you feel the same, but his painting really fit to my idea of creating this image. scary

hope you like it.

edit: added more reflections on the glass from the helmet.. man. this must be one of the most advanced things ive drawed.

Huge respect!
I think that your version is much more peaceful than Bacon's work. It shows not only darkness but also complete silence . I love it

Dissasociative is great song and this can be good ilustration to it. (I can tell you what they say in space, that our earth is too grey...)

Francis Bacon's art is so damn scary, isn't it? The epitome of fear, really.

But anyway, this is a beautiful pic. There is a huge sense of emptyness and loneliness in it... Quite depressing, really.

Beautiful concept, it's kind of stunning in its simplicity and its execution. I don't know why but I get the feeling the eyes are hollow.

I don't think non finishing it was a bad idea, the strokes like this fit so well

thanks well, painting that suit was really a nightmare.. technical shapes and stuff needs much study. not exactly like clothes and hair.. damn.

You're welcome, that image is really awesome
I frequently have in mind elaborated mechanism or armours, sci-fi engineering, and then i finish to dress my subjects with... nothing
You did a great job, the transparency and the reflex are so well done
It remembers me a lot of situations I saw in my mind when reading some books.

I'm quite a sci-fi addict, there are a lot of situation of loneliness of a man into nothing, non human environments, the first name that comes in mind is Bob Shaw with his cylce of the Ptertha invasion, I don't know exactly the english title

i have never seen the francis bacon painting. it is very much like a hansome shroud of turrin. ghastly and ghostly, somewhat miffed in death's grip.

I don't listen to him a lot but for some reason this reminds me of a marilyn manson song and I think the lyric "disassociative" is in the song. Am I stupid, or am I on to something?

lol, anyway, this is very great! It's really amazing how well people use CG. I'm stuck here with my markers.

hey, markers are great. Its harder too I think.. you dont have the ctrl + z and zoom

The figure looks as if he is in a peaceful sleep... or recently passed... his eyes aren't sunken in so I assume that he might just be slipping into death... but he seems to still be clinging to life... the astronaught helmet though... or is it a death chamber...??? I can't tell without a wider view... is this a shot of an icy death in space...??? I do like how you show he gleam on the glass encasing his head... it almost seems like the remnance of his soul escaping their earthly coil... very nice... lol...later....

You're missing something perhaps a reflection in the glass would've taken it to another level. A reflectoin of a blue planet.. that would've been awesome. I've been observing how the reflection makes things more real.

ok.. i just noticed ur edit. but it still looks nice.. kinda disapointed you didnt' take it further.. but i guess ur busy with master and servant... which is coming along nicely.
