Flaw: He is possessive, sees the world the old way, he likes his ghouls and mansters. He doesn't like anything and anyone being taken from him. He will bring his wrath out on the person who did him wrong.
Pet Peeve: Anyone trying him, testing his patience. As much as he loves his possessions he will kill it or destroy it if he gets angry.
Style: everything expensive, silks and patterns, anything that catches his eyes. The belt buckle never leaves his outfit, anything else he will mix and match.

Story:
He has been everywhere, seen everything at least twice. He doesn't even remember how old he is, and doesn't care. He started a business, owning a underground monster club in New Orleans in the 1890's up until the present day. He does everything there, has his girls, his hoards of expensive and unique things, alcohol, books, anything you can imagine and probably more. He loves the life, thinks it's perfect for him. When it comes to ghouls, he mostly takes on only beautiful willing ghouls, but he won't let them go if they change their minds unless he is bored of them.
He lives in the lap of luxury, making money not only from the goods he gets and trades but from his extremely powerful magic. The only thing you can't get from him are the ghouls he took in, he will rip up anyone who even looks at them.
It just so happens that back in Clary's crazy blood rush days, around the 20's, Clary stumbled in New Orleans, right around his district. She was looking for blood, of course, and the moment dead old Alistair saw her he was obsessed. He managed to lure her in and make her one of his ghouls. but differently. She never accepted to sleep with him, he did love the kisses and the stories she'd tell him, the violence and misery she'd create when high on blood. It was something he wasn't used to, so he gave her her style change, the blonde beached hair and she was his number 1 toy. You must imagine how pissed he was when Thomas managed to somehow steal her and take her away from him. He lost track of where she was but when a little birdie called Edea dropped a couple of hints as to where Clary was, he more than happily jumped on the occasion of finding his favorite lost toy.
He is also the only person besides Thomas and Leonard who knows Clary's real name.

His tattoos are all in Slavic runes.
The ones on the neck mean:
"I own --insert Clary's real name--"
"Serving my Queen"
"master the elements"

and the rune under his eyes means Death and Life or Ending
he can shape shift into anything, but he will keep to his true form, this one, or the alternative female version of it
He can acquire anything. including the Angel blade that killed Roman once
