Description          Jake-Ass
Jake-Ass
This is Jake, a mischiveous young lemur, who lives in the forrests of Southwestern Madagascar with his troop. One day he stumbles upon a couple and gets into their bag and two days later he finds himself in Florida in the home of an agressive, dominant ginger-heared biologist woman in her early 30s, named Sarah and her extremely dumb boyfriend with the heart of gold, named Andy. As you've probably guessed, Sarah is not happy with finding a very rare lemur in her appartment, yet she decides to keep the animal in order to study it. She names our hero Jake. Jake is an extremely curious, mischiveous, yet very determined lemur, who turns the life of Sarah and Andy upside down with a huge smile on his face. So as a good "parent" Sarah does what she's best at: yell and threaten. To her surprise whenever she's "educating" Jake, the little lemur always stops behaving like a two-legged pest and starts listening to her - as the o  The EgonDaLatz Style: How I Do My Pencil Drawings
How to Make a Picture Like This One?
If you got here by clicking on the link conveniently placed in the picture description, then let me explain why the making of one single picture usually takes me a week or more. Let's just say that I'm a maximalist and I want my drawings to be perfect. They are very precious to me, y'know.
To make things clear, I present my working methods on my pony pictures. Believe it or not, I create 2-4 scraps/drafts before I start making the final picture - therefore, I can show you every single step.
(Note that I use this method not only to create pony pictures, but other drawings too.)
So, here are the steps of drawing a picture in EgonDaLatz style:
1) Conceptualization
I know it sounds ridiculous, but do you know how frustrating a f*cked-up picture can be? Let alone a picture wrongly planned and carried out? No thanks, I'd rather avoid this scenario. So, in Dashie's c

"Hi everybody!"

Ladies and gentleman, I present you my OWN creation: Jake, the grey jackal lemur -abridged as jacklem. Hope, you'd like him.

Time for backstory:
A few years ago, I watched a show called "Storm Hawks", which aired on Cartoon Network. It was quite OK, but for some unknown reason it was cancelled in 2009 in the middle of a goddamn cliffhanger. What a shame! Anyway, there was this little guy, called Radarr . He, if I'm not mistaken, was a "sky monkey." I kinda liked him, so I've started making pictures of him. Unfortunately, these pictures were pure crap, so I pretty much got rid of them. This picture is their great-great grandson and, in my honest opinion, it is the best behind the Dashie drawing .
(If you're interested in a story starring this lil' guy, click on "Jake-Ass" above.)
