Livestream commission. In case you are wondering, this is in fact Edmund from Don Bluth's "Rock-a-Doodle". This was more for Betsy than for me since she loves his design and used to draw him all the time when she was young. However, we both agree that the film is a mess. One of those problems is Edmund himself. Not only is the child actor playing him terrible, the whole live action/animation integration and going into the book is confusing and pointless. Also, the whole "I'm not a cat, I'm a boy" plot point doesn't work when the animals are anthropomorphic and there are not any humans around so comments like "Cats don't go to school" just come off as perplexing.

As such, I asked Betsy to put Edmund in more normal clothes as opposed to that makeshift Davy Crockett outfit. The idea is that this is how Edmund would have looked if already existed in Chanticleer's world as a cat. I think that could have worked in the film's favor. Besides, doesn't he look cute in overalls?
