You... you didn't think I was done, did you? No, no, no. Never! Well at least not yet... and I hope it doesn't stop anytime soon. I meant to upload these last night but I got distracted by some stressful things. But enough about my anxiety, let's talk sketches! I'm still drawing these two at least once a day and these sketches have been piling up for the last two. I have a small travel sketchbook that I carry with me so I can scribble whenever inspiration hits and some were done in that - and they are ridiculously tiny. The one of Kit with the mouse on his shoulder is about the size of my thumb. Not sure how I managed any details on that but there it is. XDSoo... most of these are random expressions and whatnot but I can't help wondering what Karnage is looking at/plotting in the upper left corner. Kit seems curious too... and maybe slightly worried.
In the upper right corner I imagine Kit is saying "Why'd you do it?" Gee, wonder what could that be from...
(hint: onceapirate) Random startled/confused Karny is another tiny sketch from my travel book. I'm gonna say he's looking at an oncoming army of spiders there... also because I walked into a spiderweb (complete with a spider) on the hiking trail yesterday. That was fun. XD
Okay and there's Kit with his mouse friend. Pure coincidence that Karnage is looking at them... boy would he be ticked off if he found out Kit was harboring that damn mouse. XD Speaking of which, if you want a side-splitting read go check out the TS fan fiction "Of Mice & Morons". I swear I've never laughed so hard in my life.
Aand there we go with the emotional stuff again. shh, I love it. This is another scene from Once a Pirate, of course, one that comes just before the "Baloo...?" sketch that I did. Not sure I'm happy with the pose but I might clean it up/give it more shading later. That scene is still so vivid in my head it's gonna make me cry all over again... damnit.
I have a commission to work on next but more K&K rough concept sketches are already scribbled in my sketchbook so... be prepared.

Upper left: I love that Kit is more concerned with watching the captain rather than whatever villainous opportunity Karnage has just spotted. Maybe he's concerned over whoever's day Karnage is about to rain on, or maybe he's picking up a few pointers!
Middle top: Kit's eyes really stand out! This might be his look when Karnage tells him he's got him a plane of his own... and the one to the right is three seconds later when Karny can't keep a straight face.
Top right: Someone please hug the brat, already! Oh, that face!
Bottom left: I'm an arachnophobe, so I can relate to that awful feeling of walking into a web. Another possible caption: Never trust a fart.
Middle bottom: Thank you for the Of Mice sketch. ^_^ I like to think that Karny's head right above it could go together with it:
DK: What is that squeaking on you, boy?
Kit: Uh... nothin', just my shoes!
DK: Oh.
Kit: *makes a hasty exit*
DK: *blinks* Shoes...?
The Kit pic to the mouse's upper right, I really like this little sketch; I dare say your style is expressive in a way that is more endearing than the series' animators pulled off. More and more, when I think of these characters, I'm thinking of them the way you draw them.
Bottom right: Well, you know I'm nuts about this one. I can practically hear Karnage: “Boy...? Boy?” Story or no, something like this and I get the feels for both of them. I think you captured the moment perfectly! And, yet again, you have my gratitude.

I really don't want spiders near me but they don't freak me out that much - I'll capture them in jars and take them outside whenever possible. But it's still not pleasant to walk into their webs or see one sitting on your shoulder... and that spider city scene in OaP was the stuff of nightmares. Aw, jeez. Thanks!! :') I always worry that I don't get the characters as on model as I'd like them to be. I keep trying to capture more of the show's style but it always blends with my own. After finishing "Give 'Em What For" I couldn't help thinking Karny ended up looking a little too anime-ish because of the way his head turned out (he's hard to draw from a front view) - something just seemed off about it. But as long as they're recognizable and I'm flattered that you think my style is as endearing as the series' animation. ;v;
That's precisely the moment I was trying to capture, I'm glad it translated well! I have so much fun with these sketches and the emotional ones are some of my favorites for some silly reason. Thanks again!
