Happy Friday, kids! Have some spookified sky pirates for what will most certainly be my final upload in the month of July. Sheesh, is tomorrow really August 1st already... ? Time flies. But eh, this has been the worst year ever and frankly I want a refund. Anyways! I'm sure you're all just as surprised to see even more TS fan art from me. Absolutely shocking, I know.

So, I wanted to practice some front view poses (because Karnage is still a pain to draw from that angle) and somehow it not only turned into a larger project but opened the doors for a possible new "story". At one point I considered adding more pirates -- Ratchet, Gibber, Hacksaw -- but these four took up the whole page and I couldn't fit anyone else without making it look too crowded. I realize Mad Dog looks a little too big here but I'm blaming that on his big nose. That mutt has one helluva snout. I think this is the first time I've drawn him from a front view and I'm actually kinda happy with it. Can't say the same about the anatomy or poses but I do like how the expressions came out.

If you can tell from the tiny bit of background they're supposed to be inside a cave and, for once, I actually DO have somewhat of an idea as to what's going on here. That will be revealed in an upcoming picture that I'm currently coloring (and hope to finish over the weekend)! But yes, this is definitely developing into something more. Mayhaps even another one of those silly little story scenarios -- like the dinosaur one I still haven't finished. Alternatively, we could pretend they're breaking the fourth wall and are looking at YOU!

PS: For those who might find this entertaining: I had another TS-related dream last night. As per usual it was foggy at best but I do remember this important part of the "plot": Wildcat and Ratchet did the ol' switcheroo. It started out with Wildcat looking for a new job and, for some reason that I can't explain, he ends up with the pirates -- who had been lacking a good mechanic ever since Ratchet went missing. Why on earth would they accept Wildcat? I don't know! I can't even explain my brain when I'm awake. XD Speaking of Ratchet, the poor guy had amnesia after a gnarly crash and was now working at H4H, being a boring honest goody goody. Augh! Again, nothing ever makes much sense in my hazy dreams but at least there were some pretty amusing antics on the Iron Vulture involving Wildcat and a very irritated Don Karnage. Oh! In case you were wondering, yes: Kit was with the pirates (where he belongs). Considering what little bits and pieces of this mishmash I can remember, he's probably the reason Wildcat didn't become a rug.
