Well, we don't know Ursula's beginnings. I would love to know. Was she bad from the start? Was she simply curious? The musical claims Triton was her brother and banished her, and possibly cursed her to her current form (or perhaps she took it on as she can change it at any time!). Perhaps she was a lot like Ariel, and then grew into a passionate young woman who felt she had a right to the throne and was punished for it. Maybe she despises Ariel for being as innocent as she was. The fanfiction writes itself!
