this photograph reminds me of two things: the way that we, as humans, can't understand that chicks are also living animals because they're way more simple and they are provided to us as food (most of us, leaving aside the vegetarians) and so we never relate to them having siblings or families, or maybe it's just because we're born in a different way than they do.
the second thing is that I've seen before a video of a chicken eating an omelet, my friend reacted as he was seeing a cannibal but I didn't notice it until she really said "that's cannibalistic". maybe I've noticed it because of the chick's bid which seems at one side supportive but at another side very hungry.
however I love the way you've cleared the background with a very attractive plain white and mirrored surface, which shows the way you're professional, even though you could use some background because chicks don't live in vista houses, they live in barns, where it's dirty and messy.

As said before, it might not be totally original, though it still has everything it needs - a nice concept behind it, making it different from all the others, the caring and somewhat heart-melting feeling of the little being waiting for the brother to come to this world. The white background is a nice choice, thought as the egg's white too, makes the chick the only colored thing in the photo, which might look a little out-of-place. Nevertheless, no background here makes total sense, but maybe another color for the tissue?
